Hardwiring-Eifyr and Co 'Rogue' GY-1
Description say :
"Allows the operation of micro warpdrives. -2% reduction in capacitor needs."
From the description part in bold I assumed that once i plugged one in I could use MWD on my ship without having the skill. I though if I needed the skill for that "whats the point in getting the Implant". Well apparently I thought wrong, or maybe my english r not good enough r maybe Im just stupid .Anyway I talked over with other people n they all seemed to have the notion that the implant would enable one to use MWD without the skill. BTW most of them r english :P
Can I pls get an official answer as for the reason the implant doesnt do what its description says.
PS : I bought a lot of them so I could get my alt in PVP action n even trained all the skills I needed except the ones needed for MWD use.

The new implants are really intended for v. advanced players, to whom that extra 2% squeaze can mean everything. Me, I just sell them when I get them from my agent. When I can, that is...
Anyone want a -2% cap reduction on afterburners? Anyone?

these small silly implants like the one described above. you can only have one in at a time of that particular variant of implant? So i cannot full my character up with a number of different ship bonus implants, correct?
Just was thinking that if you could actualy use combinations of differnent ship bouns implants then they might actually be of some use.

Not entirely true. Most of the Harwiring implants go into slot 6, but I've also seen some implants for slot 7 on escrow, don't remember what they were for though, sorry.

On EVE-i you can find a list of all implants: EVE-I Implant List
There are implants for slot 6 to slot 9, whereass only those for slot 6 (and maybe some for 7 ?) are released until now.
The 2% increase isnŠt really very much. But I personally like the implants for 2% more speed and the one for 2% more damage. |

yup, that extra Hardwiring 2% to cap makes a huge difference when you already have energy management level 5....cap is almost always full. will be looking for a slot 7-9 hardwiring implant

Let me get a clarification, the -2% AB implant only helps cap us with AB's correct, it does NOT help when using MWD... right?

Well, origionally back in beta implants were supposed to be able to add skills. This was hinted, at the very least, as part of the origional design. Many things have been added and removed since then as we all have seen. What this doesn't mean is that the description wrong. I't very well may be that the implant is broken, or the functionality has yet to be added. For the moment on this occasion at least it may be prudent to not pass judgement on this one. --------------------------------------------- The opinions posted here are mine, and do not necessarily reflect the goals or opinions of my corperation or affiliates.
