Make sure your ship is Plat insured and don't use named mods m8y, the fight wont last long.

I love hearing people badmouth politics in this section of the forums. Read the other foums and look where the people who are the best and most passionate about EVE post. Thats right, it's HERE in the political forum where those who have taken it upon themselves to provide the game with the content and drama that CCP cannot provide bring life into this game. Politics are the inevitable byproduct of 2 or more different mindsets (thats the collective thinking of many people) coming into contact with eachother.

Eve's metagame (that is the advanced game played in 0.0) revolves around one thing; conflict. Without politics, conflict in eve would be based on very small encounters.

Here is EVE without politics:
-No corpoations
-No Alliances
-No fleets
-0.0 space = Everyman (or woman) for himself

I dont know about you, but that sounds extremely BORING to me.

I would like to see anyone that says they hate politics and that "it ruins the game" to please move back to empire where there is none. At the very least, stop reading and posting in the political section of the forum.

You honestly enjoy what we have now ? Ok force A has 60 ships, lets try and get 60 too .......2 hours pass you have 60 in gang but force A see's you have 2 more scorps and Ibis than them and all logs off.

On those rare occasions both forces decide they wanna rumble they warp in about 30% of the combatants are unable to activate modules or sometimes even see the screen.

Granted the make some ingame content which CCP has been completely unable to deliver and they sure make heated discussions on these forums but Im not entirely sure they've done much for the game itself.

You have your points. You should also admit those that like the political aspect of the game have theirs as well. But you fail to do that. It's like those people that complain because such and such people do not play the game they want to play.

So you want Counterstrike in space. Good. I have no problems with that. Go find someone who wants it and fight to your heart's content. I am sure you will enjoy it, and as long as the other party enjoys it too then we're all happy. After all we're in this game to have fun. But you can't impose your "idea" of fun on other people and expect them to accept it. I won't ask you to change your gaming style if you stop asking me to change mine, ok?

You complain about the technical limitations that prevent large fleet battles from being enjoyable. That is something that should be solved, not something that means large fleet battles do not have a place in this game. One of the first thoughts that instantly attracted me to this game was imagining a HUGE fleet battle without lag. And when I say HUGE I mean 10x what we see now happening. That is something I would like to see happen, but unless certain technical problems are solved, it won't. Let's hope it can happen soon.

Now take a look at 0.0 space. How many alliances do you see? A lot, with a lot of players in a lot of corporations in them, all of them, at different levels, involved in the political aspect of the game, which in turn creates a new paradigm that was not created by CCP.

That is the strength of players in this game. The right to choose the environment they play in (to an extent). If most people in 0.0 want to play the alliance game (and by the looks of 0.0 it seems most do) then you must accept it will shape their gaming style and either change yours (not fair to anyone imho) or find other people that are looking for the same thing as you (best solution I think).

Bottom line, if you want a trouble-free combat game, I am sure there are quite a lot of players interested in it, you just need to find them.

I have very few selfish reasons for doing it save I am bored. And Presidio how was the veiw of BKG from your safe spot?
The few times I went up there with LOD I remember very distinctly you sitting at a safe spot or holding up in station. I want to fight the people who actually fight in PA and the man that got them into the Great Northern War in the first place, if you want to take a shot at me as well then I say Artegg and Halseth get a 5v5 team up and we will see who wins and finally put to end the debate who actually won GWN. Both sides have had shamless flamers come here and say in around about way they are "Uber L337"
and that they kill hordes of the enemy. I have never done this,I have always said its been about equal. Im not l337 or uber, just a guy looking to bring closer to a war.
