I think it is fair for somebody spending their time to organise a lottery is entitled to get something back for the effort. Same goes for trusted third parties, they are paid (or not in Darknesss' case ) for providing a service. This is one of the things that makes eve great, people are willing to provide games and services that CCP probably never anticipated. As to if it could be rigged, well if the "ticket" numbers are known before the draw and the third party is in charge of rolling the dice then it is simply your call if you trust them. The organiser is out of the loop at that point and I know Darknesss is working hard on building rep. Consider this a free bump

Seems a bit silly. Because you get a chance (albeit small) to win a nice ship for the amount of isk you can make in 15 minutes? I think all these lotteries are a fantastic idea. Gives the lottery runner a great ROI, gives the participants a chance to own a ship they may not get the chance to own normally, and gives the Chribbas of the world a way to increase their reputation. Seems like a nice clean win for everyone. I'll probably be buying a ticket later myself ;)
