Hi...
Just got into my first claw yesterday - great ship but finding myself in a dilemma on how to load it out. Would appreciate suggestions for PVP and PVE load outs; also if a particular skill would give me the upper hand I would appreciate some insight. I.E. I have interceptors at 2 right now and am training Electronic Upgrades to 4 so I can use Micro Aux atm.
Thanks....

I've search for an answer to this myself and it seems that you find a lot more Crow loadout suggestions than you do for the Claw. At least you find them, though. You find zip help for the Raptor.
Keep in mind that my buddy up there will be flying said Claw alongside my ueber Crow of death! --------- Kitten Hearder Evolution made my sig Less Entertaining than your's. |

Heh...so far guns don't hit for much have tried 125MM auto and 250 Lights unless I'm real close in and then I get webbed Would prefer to stay out of webbing range

If you're backing up a Crow PvP you might try a Stiletto, fit 1 MWD and 3 different racial jammers (lets assume the Crow has web and scramble to hold them in place) 2 200 autocannons (if you can find/afford Scouts so much the better) and a Nos. You'll most likely need two cap relays to keep it all running, but once the target is jammed/webbed, you can kill the mwd (unless he lets loose with FoF missiles). 3 Jammers will give you strength 10 for 3 sensor types, and str 6 for the last, enough to jam any interceptor (if you get lucky, 2 or 3 at once), just about all frigates (i think Vigil is str 11) and some cruisers. 2 200 Scouts will do considerable damage with ammo such as EMP or Phased Plasma, and the Stiletto's 25% tracking bonus will help you score a lot of hits.
The Claw very versatile with a 4/2/4 loadout, but most people seem to favour 3 200mm and a rocket/std launcher. The Claw can also be kitted out with up to 400mm armour expanders, which is something to think about

I tend to find the claw is more effective against cruisers and bs than frigs and is one of the better inties for long range (for frigs). In which case I use
2 280 II's, 2 'malkuth' Standard launchers 1 mwd II, cap recharger II 1 micro power core, 1 small armour repair and 2 tech 2 tracking mods.
I find this setup will hit with little to no problem at 15-20km orbit where 280's seem most effective. This also keeps you out of web range.

And how are you going to hit a 10mn AB (Or even one using an MWD) ceptor without a web? Oh, you said that its better against cruisers and BS .. Well, what keeps them from warping away if you don't have a scrambler?
When will you people get it, an interceptor can't very well intercept if it doesn't have a web and a scrambler/disruptor. If you know youre going to fight a slow target, sure, you can drop the web .. but for all around frig PvP, a web and a scrambler are crucial - which is the reason why a claw and for example a crusader are not that good, they only have two medslots and most people won't give up on their MWD/10mn AB (and rightly so).
ps. in a similar thread someone (was it sally?) said that they had a good claw setup that didn't have a propulsion module in the medslots .. dunno how well it works though ..
Edit: Well, if you're going to use the claw to fight alongside a crow that does the webbing and scrambling, I guess its "ok". However, if youre only going to fight lone cruisers, she can do it alone with the said crow.

I tend to travel with another account for suport in a stilleto, so I don't really need a web or scrambler on my claw, tho if take out a tracking mod I can fit either (if I remember correctly). Also at the ranges I usually orbit where I find 280's hit the best (orbit at 20km) I am more often than not going to be just over that with the mwd active, so rendering a 20km warp jammer useless. My bad for not saying that .

3x280scout 1xm12 arb 1xmwd2 1x20k scrambler (for getaways) 1xmapc 2xgyro2 1xenhancer2
barring dual mwd frigs you will always have the speed to keep the range and the damage to destroy them at this range quickly too...the scrambler is just there for kicks and giggles...always annoying when someone gets away

I like this loadout, but skills wise I can't seem to cut it. Run out of CPU by a long shot. Looking at my skills above what am i missing?

Go with autocannons. They do a lot of damage over time, and the fittings should make the rest of your loadout a bit easier. Something like autocannons, rocket launchers, 10mn AB/1mn MWD (named/T2), web/scrambler, and whatever you need in low to run it, and if not, then a ballistic control or projectile damage mod. Use the speed and range to your advantage...it's the fastest fighting ship in the galaxy after all.
