Edited by: DerArt1st on 07/07/2009 17:04:20 hi there,
just got a mail from ccp about how i like the german translation, the mail itself is horrible translated, the poll horrible itself. Your options on the first page are
[]disagree []mostly disagree []undecided []agree []completely agree
on the next page the options are:
[]disagree []mostly disagree []undecided []agree []completely disagree
Honestly, do you know how to programm any stuff? Do you know that we in germany have "umlaute" like nS÷ and that? -> Unterstu(n)tzung, selbstversta(S)ndlich
Who made that poll?

Aww, you added content.
I don't know what discussion value there is in 'CCP borked the german translation for the survey' though.
P.S Do you Germans still use that squiggly double S thing?

The poll just looks like a trainee made it or something and i asked myself if this should be a joke. Asking about the german translation in broken german.
Oh... and btw. we still use that ¯ thingy

Phishing was my first thought as well. But since I don't use the german client, I would not take that particular poll even if it was genuine. Would be nice to see CCP comment on this thingy though. And if you are reading this, you have arrived at the signature without noticing...

Edited by: CCP Lemur on 07/07/2009 18:44:07 Edited by: CCP Lemur on 07/07/2009 18:42:18 Sorry if you don't like it. The email originally contained umlauts, but it seems the mail sender didn't support those. Will check up on that. The surey itself contains the umlauts.
Regarding the order of answers: the last one doesn't mean "completely disagree" it means "doesn't apply" meaning that you think it isn't relevant. Next time we go with a different translation.
Thank you all for your constructive criticism.

Yes, this survey is legit. However, I don't know where the dots for the umlauts went off to, either, they must have been lured away during the transfer to the mailing list by some strangers with candy.
We apologize for this lack of dots, which admittedly does make this mail look a bit weird.

Okay, maybe my translation was not correct about that thing but that was not the point. Do you think that its a good idea to have the positive answer(completely agree) on the right side and on the next page the last answer on the right is "doesnt apply"? Maybe this would fit better on the left side before "completely disagree". Anyways... nice poll.

o/ Also it would help if you would make little stickies about your emails sent to customers, we recently had the same issue with that billing change email didnt we?
Why do we always have to come and ask with every mail we get? XD Also with a properly mainainted and actualized sticky regarding legit CCP emails sent to us, you could comfortably just say. If it aint listed in this sticky, it aint from us! Dont open or use!
My 2 cents.
Ps.: As far as the german client goes, ive always kept using the english version, since thats what im used to for 6 years now, sorry for your lost effort on that end ;P

We will keep that in mind for the next poll.

well, to make it look legit you should fix that stuff.
These 3 are indeed worse than the umlauts :( Sadly afaik we can't change a started poll.

(edit for grammar... man, i need moar beer)
