Sure, it shows massive incompetence and rather questionable business practices but he rejected some people's money, that's sort of a good sign.

I decided that I would not take 8B at 20%, and once I had decided I moved quickly to communicate my intentions and though it may seem "unfair" which in business is very very bad, I am not trying to screw anyone. Should I have know that I needed to set a top end rate before I launched the bond? Yes.

I decided that in order to reduce the risk of burn out I would hold the bond at a maximum of 15% monthly interest. If you are unhappy with this, we will have to go our separate ways, and I wish you good luck. If you find 15% monthly to be an acceptable rate, then you can send the isk to jita BEAST (as confirmed on page 1) to finalize your reservation. Shares will be sent once isk is received. Your reservation expires on 23:59 eve time July 15th, at this point others may fill the bond, up to 8B. Some bidders may pull out, but as it is a trading bond, and is not dependent on raising the full bond value, as long as 4B is received by the reservation deadline, the bond will continue, if it is not received your isk will be returned. 8B bond, 15% interest, 2 month term. For all non-bidders reservations will be taken in this thread, first come, first served

Well, he has the funds to cover the bond even if he isnt savvy enough to hack it, so im willing to give him the benifit of the doubt. 700M sent.

Based on this, I think it is unlikely that he intends to scam, which is part of the reason I chose to invest. However, this mistake shows an increase in the risk that he will lose money in his trading.

More may become available as bidders decline the bond, as I have not heard one way or the other from some of them. At this point I have received over 4B isk, so the bond is well underway. To address the concern of me losing isk trading, I foresee a significant portion of the profits being made off of buy/sell margins. I plan to continue my current strategies, and I definitely will be keeping most of the isk in high volume items. My focus will be on velocity of the capital. I am not going to wipe out 8B worth of isk in that manner, and I have plenty of assets to cover the interest payments. This is a bond, and I will pay it no matter the trading results. all isk sent to jita BEAST has been processed. Marcus Baltar, Dzil, Boha, Amoc you should all have shares now.
