I caught Swine flu, and after few days rest, drinking lots of liquid, eating healthy, washing and brushing teeth multiple time to avoid infectign rest of the house. I start to feel better, and hopefully be completly free of it.
The doctor decided i dont need the drugs, since they only slow down the symptoms of the flu, and not kill it. So yeah, as long as you dont have serious health problems. your body should be fine, and your anti bodies will fight it off just like any other flu.
Thank god its not bird flu.

as far as i can tell the swine flu is just a normal cold, the only reason it got any attention at all is because MJ wasn't dead yet and the media was bored and needed to make news.

But it was new to the world, and lot have died in mexico, so everybody got scared. It is slightly more severe to people with health complications, as their body can't fight so many things at the same time; Leading to permanent damage or death.

I had it a few weeks ago. I was surprised by how mild it was after all the fuss in the media. I had proper flue a while back, and it was much worse than this. I'd put swine flue half way between proper flue and a bad cold. I managed to carry on with my life as normal while I had it, but proper flue you are laid up for sure. It did drag on for a long time though, and I've only just finished coughing up huge amounts of bright green flem. For a day at its peak I was coughing up blood a bit, but apart from that no worries really.

Yep 100$ per tamiflu shot for instance. And last time more people died thanks to the vaccines than the actual flu. _________________________________ -be vary of the men behind the curtain-

According to certain Israels calling it swine flu is an insult due to religious beliefs, so they opted that we call it Mexican flu like it was so much better.

and this is why I said that the first days were just alarmistic mumbo-jumbo.
swine flu is not much different from regular flu, except it infects easier and faster, after that, symptoms, and contagion ways are equal (xcept the vomiting/diarrhoea one that apparently is showing up in more recent strains).
heck, even mortality rates are approaching the seasonal flu ones. In all honesty, only thing this flu changes is that you no longer just go to the pharmacy and get some free-sale flu medicine, and you go to your doc right away instead. ---

"OMG people have died from the swine flu, run for the hills!!!". And then they 'forget' to tell you that normal flu kills people as well, especially in the more 'backwater' countries. So if they say that some 'epidemic' killed 13 people in Baghwanistan and that therefore we should all go to our basements and pray for survival, that's BS.

There are a few reasons this flu caught peoples attention:
1) H1N1 ( swine flu ) is similar to H1N1 ( Spanish Flu ) of 1918 that killed an esimated 50 million people world wide.
2) This H1N1 ( Swine flue ) killed healthy people the same way the Spanish Flu did. It wasn't just limited to killing non-healthy people.
3) The 1918 flu first appeared as a milder strain in the spring and tapered off during the summer months ( same as now ), but came back as a more deadly strain. It isn't winter in the northeren hemisphere yet, so this flu is being watched to see if it does the same thing as the 1918 flu.
This has turned out to be media hype so far, but doesn't make the above 3 reasons any less of a reason not to at least be aware of it.

Edit: I think it is interesting how old people don't seem to be susceptible to this media frenzy pandemic. Makes me think that a similar pandemic of a similar flue has happened in their lifetime without anyone even noticing.

I think you are wrong there on point 2). The whole point of this do-da is that this flue hardly touches healthy people, let alone kill them. Admittedly, healthy adults seem more likely to catch it than old people, but the only people who seem to die are those who already have serious problems.

What I like the most about swine flu is how suddenly people with the full authority and respect which comes from absolutely no medical background have declared themselves expert enough to dismiss the entire thing

I'm going to have to agree with you as well and retract my second point about it killing healthy adults. I do remember in the news that it killed healthy adults, but after going through wikipedia, I can not find anything to confirm it kills healthy people. On the contrary, I've found exactly what you state. That it appears to kill those who already have other health issues.

For those that dont want to read through all of that information from the link, I quote from wikipedia:
Originally by: Wikipedia "Among 30 patients hospitalized in California," stated the WHO report, "64 percent had underlying conditions and two of five pregnant women developed complications, including spontaneous abortion and premature rupture of membranes." And on June 5, health officials in six states that reported deaths from swine flu said that all six patients had been diagnosed with other health problems.
