Last night at about midnight UK time, i was hapy hauling through New Caldari when i suddenly noticed a person in local asking to buy minerals. What was strange was that jashira Ne'rgha had blue writing in local and was also asking to buy minerals at the lowest price locally plus 10%. Being the sap that i am i sold 1m trit to her at knock down prices(she is an attractve woman after all)
What i found strange is if the blue writing means she is a 'special player' why on earth buy trit from me? Also if you look at her she only has one agent with whom she has superb relations with. A Federal Navy agent.... Could it be that the federal navy are building ships and if so.... Y?
Your thoughts pls! (also any one who saw this too - i had been drinking at the time) |

Ive been lucky enough to work for jashira Ne'rgha, my and my corp m8's escorted her into the vaajita system where we though she was going to be attacked, low and behold on the other side of the gate was a rave nand caracal belonging to the tromer brothers, we smoked both of them, and the raven dropped tech II modules and 3 Arb seiges 
She paid 500k reward to each of us, which was a bit crap, but atleast we got uber loot from the ships

It makes perfect sense. An event agent/player wanted some ore, she got some. Perhaps this is a lead-up to an all out larger event. I'll keep my peepers peeled

Meenham i was under the impression that characters in eve which were not paying subscribers and not npc's were devs/ccp and designed to run events. I want to know what event could involve buying drugs and trit and selling to another agent... Its not that hard to understand english.... |

Before I answer youÆre questions let me first correct you one slight mistake. The character did not have Blue text as that is reserved for Game Developers and Senior Game Masters. The text colour is in fact Teal and this is the Blue. It is quite understandable to confuse the two if you have not seen them before.
The colour of their text does not mean they are special the reason they have coloured text is to catch players attention so they know this is an official character. These characters are used by Aurora (The events division) to create and execute events. These characters are designed and ran with the purpose of being part of EVEÆs history the characters may need to buy ore or minerals for a new batch of ships being built or perhaps for some other reason. Sometimes the reason will be obvious and they will tell you but other times they might not.
As far as looking up her agent relations yes it is sometimes good to draw upon these things and make assumptions but do not always trust youÆre assumptions as most of the time it will just be coincidence.

Thank you for the info. A few people in local were concerned though that this individual was simply a person who had learn to use the coloured writing. Since you have replied i presume this is incorrect.
In which case now all that remains is to work out for what reason she wanted the mins... Again to my original question...
Can any one think of a reason why the lovely lady would want millions of trit and also drugs? (not a good habit for a lady) |

I highly doubt CCP would leave a hole open to let regular users use the colored text feature, its probably stored along with the character info, a user level or something similar. A tag is probably sent out with the packet containing the message to say that this is so, and that the text should be colored to show a possible importance, or possible event actions of the character. The client wouldnt say 'hey, give me blue text', thats the servers job  .
I have yet to take part, or experience an event in Eve, but have done so in a few other games, involving hundreds of players. Something like that on the scale that Eve can provide would be pretty cool, to say the least  .

Well as it has already been pointed out i know little of the events either (or how the colours appear) but i still seem to be no where closer to the reason why the lovely lady is buying mins and drugs... |

My dealings with buying different things like minerals and drugs are my own and the reason behind doing so is also my own and no one elses business.
Now some of you might think that my bidding on trit with lowest region price +10% is low, but its my call and my price. If you dont want to sell to me, fine. I dont care, its your loss in the long run.
Those willing to do business with me, will find out that they will benefit more and more over time. Those that dont want to, will just not benefit from it.
You will all also find that my trust and standing towards any of you are built on the dealings and conversations I have with you all. It¦s a give and take situation really for both parts.
