See this article: http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Apocrypha_probing
I found it quite helpful. Good luck!

Drop one probe by the sun and expand it so it covers the entire system. If it finds nothing, there's nothing there. Wormholes are easy to find if they're there, just hard to pinpoint.

never seen a system bigger than 32au across? 64au?

There are systems with 100+ AU between gates

Edited by: Tranka Verrane on 12/07/2009 14:44:38 In the event the system is larger than your probe range you could try spreading 4 probes around the edges, or just train for larger probes. A deep space probe will cover up to 256 au. My point was there aren't always wormholes there to find.

just use your core probes on planets instead the Sun. Sig/Anomalies are 4-6AU around planets. Or use a Deep Space scanning probe, they got 256 AU range.
