I had a large domination highsec deathstar fitted to the teeth.
I started packing it down today as Im getting less time for eve and thereby might not be able to take care of my pos.
The pos was fitted with (guns):
12 medium domination artillery
12 small angel autocannons
Those guns was completely filled up with faction ammo, I remember paying several hundred mil for the ammo.
Im going todo some math here.
6 Angel small autocannons Filled with Republic fleet Fusion M: 240 000 units x 1000 isk = 240 million isk
6 Angel small autocannons Filled with Republic Fleet Phased Plasma M: 210 000 units x 1800 isk = 378 million isk
6 Domination medium artillery Filled with Republic Fleet EMP L: 7800 units x 1800 isk = 11,7 million isk
6 Domination medium artillery Filled with Republic Fleet Fusion L: 10000 units x 2000 isk = 20 million isk
Is there any chance I will be reimbursed? I used todays prices, but I know I paid roughly 500 - 600 million isk for the ammo
The tower is located in Highsec and set to dont agress unless at war. I have not been in any wars while having this tower. Dont know if it mathers but there is a pos password set.
Ive made a petition but this seems very scary, what if I were to go to war and logon my gunner alts + bring in mercs. Im fairly sure 4 people capable of handling 4 pos guns each would make a difference in a scenario where I would be attacked. Not to speak of the isk Ive already lost in ammonition.

Since Apoc came out in March ammo has been randomly missing from POS guns. It's something the CCP is aware of and most POS owners now just factor it in as part of running a POS.
I doubt you will be reimbursed but good luck on your attempt anyway.

Im not going to factor in ammo worth 6 months of fuel. If this is the case ill get rather upset

You can always not stock ammo unless you get a wardec. Kinda like having guns/defenses online in highsec is a waste of fuel unless you are in a war.

Well I have made a petition, Im just hoping they will solve it. Its not only the loss of ammo and isk that bothered me, its the fact that it can happend and I dont feel very safe now. What wouldha happend if I didnt notice this and activly went into a war ready to fight? With what?

I guess I'm just smart enough to figure up my cpu/pg useage so that I don't have to offline any structures to online weapons. Only takes a little time to online everything and the fuel savings add up over multiple towers.
I've yet to see anyone suicide a POS in highsec.

I'm sometimes gone for a week so that last thing I want to do is have to log in to Eve every 24 hours to make sure someone hasn't war dec me.
So half my weapons are online at all times

Yep, that's basically it. If you have weapons online you don't have to log in at least once every 24 hours. Also you can often avoid a wardec even happening that you would have to defend from if your tower looks scary enough.
