This game can suck for people who run out of options that suit their style. That's all it boils down to in the end. If ones style cannot find a place in the game, it's time to move on.
The PVP element in the game is great for keeping it from getting boring. My recommendations to the OP is to equip up some cheapie frigates and have a good game of cat and mouse. In the end everybody will have had a good time. That's the good thing about EVE, you pay your fee every month, and it's the same every month, but you can have a good time no matter what you do.
The best part is that there endless ways to deal with this problem. I can see where someone thinks they have no choice if they think something can only be handled one way. If someone with a bigger boat and more guns wants to blow your boat up, and you think the only way to handle that is to have a bigger boat with more guns, but cannot, surely it would feel like there were no options other than to leave.
EVE is like a cross between a Mosh pit and an episode of Star Trek. You just have to jump in and take a beating to enjoy it.

Thanks for all the help on this one. I have decided to dig in and have some fun. I am going to go solo and still work with all my friends. Even tho I love this game its kind of dumb because all you do is train skills till you have more than some one else and then you kill them. This is how most people play the game. Most people that have posted here are mindless sheep who just follow the pack. To those of you who are not sheep I thank you for your support. I am looking forward to seeing what the sheep post after this.
3..2..1.. Go sheep!!
P.S. Jake Kbar is just a dumb alt. I am sure the non-sheep people already knew this. lol

wow the carebear sheep is calling us sheep after complaining of being herded into his station by the herding dog war deckers. and it isnt just a matter of having more skillpoints to kill another character, i have killed quite a few older players than me, it just is about tatics and the quality of your fit.

Nice one having a go, keep us updated... and there is no shame in losing to a better group (or to a bunch of gankers)
You need to rethink your attitude about skillpoints though...
It's actually a lot more to do with your decision making, strategies and knowledge of the ships you are using or engaging. Skill points aren't THAT critical to your success.

I was going to give you a hard time but I looked you up on a kill board and it looks like you do not pick on the weak. I think you play with honor and that's cool.

Jake, the owners and the developers of EVE are not a charity. They want new players to have fun and keep your subscription. However, they expect players to look at challenges and figure out ways to overcome the hurdles. That is the beauty of this game. The game is not meant for quitters who take their marbles and go home at the first hurdle they face. When you are new, and lacking ISK and skill points, it is harder to overcome those problem that confront you. It is the cold, harsh world of EVE, and finding a way to survive, that is part of the fun of the game.
If you stick it out, and I hope you do, you will be rewarded with an immense amount of fun as you skill up and gain power. Never hold grudges against pirates and "bad guys". Without the bad guys, this game would not survive. There needs to be a constant balance of bad guys and good guys, and there needs to be wardecs, in order for this game to grow and thrive.
There are many options for you and your friend (maybe join a good corp); you need to figure it out. It will all make sense in about 6 months once you gain knowledge, ISK and power.

God, just think about how much money and fun you could be having right now if those ****s hadn't have decced you. It's so ridiculous and so unfair.
We should make it where the only place you can dec someone is 0.0, highsec should be undeccable.

Confirming that The PitBoss will run the people who wardecced you out of all major trade hubs unless of course the people who decced you have 1 more person in fleet then privs. Then they will just dock and *****.

This is true and it isn't. To go into it a little further I think you need to point out that unlike other games eve gives you the tools to strike revenge or death into any player no matter what there age is but its up to you to use your brain to figure out how your going to do this with the tools you have available to you.
Lets say for example. Your enermy is a 5 year old player in a Megathron, and you also happen to be flying a Megathron. All you need is one friend to be flying a blackbird with Gallente racial jammers and he is completely defenceless or unable to shoot you whilst you kill him.
However if you went up to him one on one and had a shoot out your going down faster than your erection when your going down on your girlfriend and she accidentally farts in your face.
Study your enemy, learn your tools.
And man up and deal with your problems instead of crying about them
