I am nearly an elite drone opt, and I have been looking at these, the prices are stupidly high, I own a pos and have about 3.5B saved, However i am not going to pay 1.5 billion the cost of a dread for 5 drones. I ask you this simple question ccp.
When you release new content if less than 2% of the game can have access to it whatĘs the point? I call that epic fail.
I would recommend increasing the drops on the augmented drone parts and or make them more accessible. if people are charging 1.6 billion for 5 drones on contracts with little to no competition we have a problem Houston....
I am not poor by any means but who the hell is going to use 5 drones at a cost of 1.6 billion in combatą lets see I can buy 5 augmented heavy drones or a Dreadnought ....hmm Moros dreadnought or 5 augmented heavy drones...something isn't right in with your math...please fix it in the next major patch
I think 20-25 million per augmented heavy is a better target placement =)
CCP Realize when you write content and only 2% of the game can use it your wasting your money.

Considering augmented and intergrated drones do less damage (not as effective as a single dmg type) then thier perspective counterparts those drones if anything should be in the area of 1 mil tops a piece.
You are correct that the current price on contracts is beyond ******ed.
then again those drones are not the only things that are unrealistic pricewise.

That's why the lottery was removed and invention was introduced ... oh sorry ... I thought this thread was about something else. 
Yes, 'faction' drones are overpriced. Yes, I don't like it either. Yes, T2 are openly available and do the job just as well. Just forget they even exist and save yourself the ulcer. EVE is a game that has always had (and probably always will have) 'unattainables' for the general playerbase. The sooner you come to terms with this, the happier you'll be.
edit: I predict two years before this is 'fixed'.

oh poor poor fellow drone user the situation is actually much more worse than you may think.
faction drones, while being ridiculously overpriced due to low drop rates and BPCs dropping ONLY from drone regions, offer very little to justify their price.
 they offer identical damage to non-faction drone counterparts
they offer identical tracking to non-faction drone counterparts
they have split damage type which is epic LOL useless and in no way makes up for lack of extra raw damage
they offer slightly better speed and HP compared to non-faction drone counterpart (their only real advantage)
they are POINTLESS when u look at them with a risk vs reward standpoint
honnestly once you reach t2 heavy and sents and have a domi/ishtar you might as well start training for something else. there are no faction ships to go after, no worthwhile faction drones to save for and no improved or t2 mods that could be fit to your ship to improve drones past 3(lulz at choice) t1 modules
what ccp hasnt given drone users is a next step after getting basic improvements to themselves.
we have no implants to help speed or tracking of our drones, a simple implant set that gave speed and tracking would be an EPIC addition to drone users even if it was tracking only for sents and speed only for reg combat drones(altho i think it would be best if they got both)
drone related skills have some epic fail as well (see drone "durability") drones are also much too easy to kill, their HP is low and their sig is too big
maybe after a few more iteration of falcon changes ccp may actually look at improving content for drone users over "get something else" but its doubtful, they are more likely to find a way to nerf drones even more, for example look at the "change to ecm drone" thread listed here. the only EW drone that is at all worthwhile compared to the damage variation is on the chopping block to make sure its as useless as the other EW drones

And who "owns" all the Drone regions? As in, who is charging outrageous prices for the rights to own them? |

LOL these drones are so badly introduced I thought that CCP withdrew them.
T3 ships for all .. yea right lets see if this new fix will sort that out..
Alchemy to reduce price of overinflated and price fixed t2 component prices .. 
I am glad CCP puts so much effort designing these new features and items that the vast majority of players (who pay for CCP to do this btw) will never use.
