Hi Bit a problem with a orca
We have a orca fitted with the modules to increase range and decrease cycle time
When our fleet started mining we had a small range increase (16km) and a 4 or 5 second decuction in cycle times
this didnt seem that good! so i checked a few things and we found out that our orca pilot didnt have any warefare link specialisation skills
So we trained this to level 1, which should give us a 10% boost
but this boost never arrived and nothing changed.... we reformed fleet, turned items off and on etc
but still no change
Any ideas?

Don't forget Industrial Command Ship 5.
Quote: Industrial Command Ship Skill Bonus: 5% bonus to cargo capacity per level 3% bonus to effectiveness of mining foreman gang links per level

Silly question... but how was the fleet structured?
If you don't have a properly trained Leader in all the involved echelons, then no one will get boosted.
Given the skills of the Orca pilot, they should be in a Squad Leader position at the least, with the miners assigned to their squad.
If you just have some random person with no Leadership/Wing/Fleet Commander training in those positions, no one under them will receive bonuses.
Just sounds to me like that might be the issue, since turning the modules on and off wasn't having any effect. |

You misszunderstood that. Its a 10% bonus to the ganglinks effectivity, not an overall bonus (ganglink base of 2% + 10% = 2.2%). These 10% only made a difference of 0.36 seconds cycletime.
If you train Director and Warfare Link Spec to 4, you will get a cycletime reduction of 20.16 seconds.
