Hi,
when i logged in after todays patching, i opened the new unified directory and selected the "station hangar" division. I saw a bunch of items sitting within (not ALL of my items i left there but i ignored this for the moment) and since there were some small stacks of the same items, i use "stack all". I ended up a second later with *two* remaining items stacked; tons of other items were - gone ?! 
I digged in further and found the following:
- Station hangar shows only two different items, no matter what i'm doing (as far as i can see, there are no filters set for exclusion of items). In the ships-division, there are also some ships missing (assembled ones).
- if i enter the science window, the blueprint list there shows, that there ARE a lot of BPs on the station - they don't show up in the station hangar inventory.
- if i use the asset window, it shows only the two items also showing up in the station-hangar inventory for that station - BUT if i use the search-function within the asset window (eg. in a search for items with the letter 't' in their names), my matching items (and ships) show up (ole!) - but only in the result-list of asset-window's search function.
So they are there in fact, nothing lost, it seems. But how on earth do i get to show them up in station-hangars unified inventory?

Exact same issue here. I have one other twist to mine, which is that when I try to undock it gives me the normal undocking message, then nothing happens,I'm still just standing there in the captains quarters. |

Nothing in inventory
Nothing in assets
I have raised a petition, but nothing has been said about me getting my stuff back, and meanwhile I'm back to flying an arbitrator.... Even if it does have drone damage mods now <3

I created a bug report on this yesterday and the report has been attached to a known feature.
So, I suggest you either do the same or just wait for it to get fixed. And, in the meantime, enjoy the good weather and train a long duration skill. |

I just had this same thing happen to me (created a petition) but with a twist, I had a loss mail insurance payout of an Ibis, and a unit of tritanium, but there was never a lost ship.
Very wierd, I hope they get on this quickly. |

I can see tons of stuff in my hangar from the assets search, i.e. showing assets in current solarsystem - 318 stacks of stuff of many types.
I can only see two blueprints in my hangar in the inventory, and none of the ships that I know are there as I can see them in assets search. So I can't do anything. |

Same problem here. Asset list says 97 Items but NOTHING shows up except the one item I just moved in there. It was ok yesterday, but now ALL my ships are gone, ALL my containers, etc. Pathetic Crap... |

That contract to myself trick worked for me (thank you OP) 
Still not sure what to make of that insurance payout though. |

I managed to find everything doing a search in Assets but after down time everything was fixed.... |

Had the exact same thing happen to me right after logging in after downtime (plus I got a free reaper despite still sitting in a Hurricane). Creating the contract (failed due to some item changed(?)) fixed it.

I had this happen to me today and was able to get all my items back by using the OPs method of creating a contract to myself and deleting it after it told me I couldn't contract to myself. I'm just wondering if there is something that we all had in common when this occurred. The only thing I did that was different from my normal usage was that I had a delivery come in via a courier contract while I was offline and when I came online, the only thing in my hangar was my delivery and a noob ship with a mail message saying sorry for your loss.
Did anyone else have a courier delivery come in when this happened? |

Yes, I've had many couriers to the station that's showing the problem, and the two items showing were from one of them. |

Two times now a courier delivery was the trigger for this for me. Red frog delivers, the items they delivered are there everything else gone and only shows when I do a search in assets. Contract trick only seems to work on one item at a time, this last time I had around 200 items in inventory. This sucks.

I have attached a link to this thread as well as an explanation that others have seen this issue after a courier contract to my petition. Hopefully this will help narrow down the bug and get it fixed faster. |

This has just happened to me also. I flew from one system to another to pick up a courier package my alt had left for me to deliver. On docking, the only thing in my hangars was the courier package.. Everything else gone, ships, station containers, individual items etc.
In the assets view I can see the stuff whilst undocked, but docked, none of it shows up in assets, or the inventory hangers.
I have tried the potential fix of contracting the stuff to myself whilst in space and able to see the assets remotely etc, but this does not work.

Apparantly a known issue. if you can see the items in your "Assets" list, contract them to yourself, then delete the contract.
Worked for me. |

This issue occurred for me immediately following having an alt courier some cargo for me. Contracting all of it back to myself while undocked did resolve the issue, but be aware that all existing insurance on ships will be nullified to establish the contract (regardless of the fact that you can't actually follow through with it later). |
