Hello everyone
Maybe someone can give me some good tips on what minmatar ships to use for wormholes. I can't fly t2 however. Maybe a nice battlecruiser fit? Small gang at most. |

Here's just a thought... RR Hurricanes might work well if you're stuck on BCs. Each of these permanently reps out 302 defense to each other, would work best in a gang of 4-5 people. I'm not sure you'll be tackling some of the harder stuff in this, though.

Edited by: Attilaj on 16/07/2009 13:24:37 i am stuck on mimantar not on bcs, a little crosstraning onto the drake is an option, but i really not want the certainty of having trained the wrong race. tbh i had the active shield tanked cyclone in mind, using capmods in the lows and a cap transferer. but it seems to not be able to put up the necessary dmg output a drake can.
to your above fit: wouldn't a BS be better if i armortank? 'was thinking of a phoon. |

An RR Phoon would definitely be better, and there's plenty of good setups to find out there. Spider tanks scale very well to incoming damage, and to the best of my knowledge, it's how most hard sites are cleaned out.
I think the issue with cap transferring to the Cyclone is that you're relying on a local tank which isn't all that stellar if you fit it for damage. And a Passive Cane can give you a tank that's only slightly worse than an XL-Boosted Cyclone, except with more damage and no cap reliance. My corp ran our first few worm holes in PST Hurricanes just to get our feet wet, but the number of warpouts was unacceptable. We're getting our spider-tanking act together now.
In any case...the time I've spent in W-Space isn't incredibly long, so I may not be the best resource. Any other Minnie pilots out there with more experience?

RR phoon does work pretty well for a small gang, and it's cheap if you lose it. Aside from gang stuff, I sometimes solo class 3 anomalies for decentish isk in a Maelstrom with ACs and 3 falloff rigs. But I use a second account for my prober ship and to watch the WH for hostiles. +++ "Etiquette is for the Dojo. In war there is only victory or death." - Eiji Yoshikawa |
