Can those be used and anchored anywhere... even Empire space? Can they be placed in 0.5+ or 0.5- systems?

Now what would be the point of placing those in 0.5+? You can't shoot anyone there, so you are just anoying people. Now go stick those in 0.4 at a gate, watch it activate once and then sentries destroy it in the next second for having comitted an agression.
Only reason to have warp disruptors is in mission spots or at gates in 0.0

What if you were to place it midway between two stargates? Would it bring people out of warp then?

They are dodgey as to when they pull people out of warp anyway. Folsk who are skilled with them can pull you out of warp 40 clicks from the gate. When i try and do anything but bubbles direclty in lline with a gate nothing happens :(

Mabye because when in midwarp, the ship goes very fast, and close to a gate, the ship would have speeded down and will actually be able to get out of warp ?
