I had just finished one of those "Kill a gazillion pirates as they jump into the system" missions, and was cleaning up my loot, when some jackass started scooping it up on me.
I gave him a few "bugger off" warnings (which he ignored) and then I locked him up and took a shot at him. Before I knew it, I was in a pod floating in the debris that just recently was my ship.
This just ain't right. If someone's stealing your loot, you ought to be able to protect it.

It stinks....
But as to your question...It's the same as ore thieves...the ship is killed and some of the items are placed in a Jet Can, the Jet can is "Garbage" that anyone has rights to.
Hopefully some of the changes in Shiva will fix this..
But for some reason I doubt it.

Well, officially speaking it's not -your- loot. Cans left over after you destroy a ship, and even jetisoned cans from your cargo hold are no ones property. I don't think CCP is ever going to change that.
Unofficially you had a right to be mad at the guy. We can expect players to respect cans that you create. But shooting that person in empire space was a very dumb thing to do. In low security space that would have worked just fine. In high security you are left with publicizing his theft to other people in the area ruining his reputation, and holding a grudge for the future. I suppose you could declare war on his corp if you were really ****ed.

Pazazu,
You have a copy of the "official" guide to loot? I haven't come across one.
In any contest, the spoils go to the victor. Yeah, this jackass has been marked and if he strays outta secure space I'll nuke him. KOZKAOS |
