Check your graphics settings. I'm not sure if this is entirely accurate but I believe the toxic cloud might come under GPU particles under the graphics settings |

I guess we were hoping that they would fix it by now. It does have the fun advantage to warp a fleet of noobs in to if they don't know any better (no, I would never do that myself, but the vodka made me say it) Microsoft makes sure that you can do a basic function three ways. CCP makes sure that you can only do it one way, even if it means getting rid of the other ways all together. The upside of this is that, if they can simplify the UI enough, they can port it to the PS3 eventually. |

I have everything on and on high. Last time I did that mission (awhile ago) it was a green cloud with vortexes and stuff. |

And judging by past moderation of the forums it may not even fit in out of pod threads.
At OP: It's been that way for a while. Disappointing really. The sickly green was my favorite mission background. And it did not blind you or stress your computer like the blinding clouds in World Collide warp in and such. |

The cloud disappeared around or before Incarna. It still kicks like a mule, though.
The cloud is guilty of a clear violation of game mechanics - being able to fire while cloaked! |

Toxic cloud environment has been broken for a long while. It was definitely broken before Escalation. Mane 614

Now that I think about it, there were similar environments - gaseous skyboxes with distant tornado-like structures - in COSMOS space. Someone should check if they're gone, too. Mane 614

There's at least one Gallente high-sec COSMOS mission with this effect - it was fun as hell, but unfortunately COSMOS missions are One Per Pilot, so I can't check again. |
