Gabel	Posted - 2004.09.28 09:53:00 - [1] sorry but its no fair on smaller corps with out any alliances when a big corp not to mention any names (Biomass Cartel) just wage war on you for fun and ask 100 mil or a battleship and they wont wage war now when a new corp is full of new players and dont really wanna join an alliance just wanna be for ur self its a bit ironic when there are the bigger pirate corps just randomly picking somone and start to ruin every one in the corps day heres what happend biomass cartel declares war on my corp where a new corp building up nothing of interest to these biomass people i mean their experienced pvpers where peacefull miners trying to build the corp up and then biomass come along and ruin this in the end killing the corp off becouse we dont have any thing to fight them with nor do we have any thing to give them ive tried to tell them this we have filed a pettition havent come back yet any awnser tho problem is people tell us to run away disband the corp use alts to mine ignore them when their activly camping u for 24 hours they killed and podded 2 of our members allready one of witch had just gotten her omen wasnt insured a new player who had just extended trial period now u say stay in npc corp and people cant wage war on you why shuld this be i mean ok it keeps you safe but wheres the fun in just being in a npc corp when u can build up and try make a living in your own one please dont get me wrong pvp is most likley fun but not when the corp is new and just trying to kick off im not whining but its a bit unfair when a corp of experienced pvp pirates start harrassing a corp thats new and just kicking off with the member count just mostly newer eve players

You WILL need someone with a bit of experience for this, though. 2. This is what my old corp used to do 'till they got PvP experience: Spread out in empire, don't linger around your listed HQ. When you do a mining op, use scouts and such. When they show up, just safespot and log. Chances are they will move on 'cause they will get bored pretty quickly. Option 2 works quite well if the other corp isn't really dedicated and looking for easy ganks :) ------------------------------------------ I am a love machine, feeding my fantasy, give me a kiss or three, have fun!

When someone tell you frigate are to ineffective he is lying. Most alliance are attacked most of their time by frigatesquads. Mighty alliances like, FA, SA, PA, CA and other well known pvp corps like m0o, SHARKS, EDEN, MACE and BCI just to name few are using Frigatesquads very effective against almost any force. Frigates are easy to replace 500k MAX per frigate and will cause greate casualtys to your enemy, if only one BS would sink. Even when all frigates will be destroyed, the one BS loss of your enemy will turn this loss into a win. I know your problem, its your member. They really dont like to fight and want to do their own stuff. But there is no way around. Fight and become more a copr than before or disband and join other corps. Be sure to use plenty of alt accounts to smacktalk in local, when you have battles have alts come in close to your targetted main so that smartbomb/torp splash will incur criminal flagging, and dock/log every time you see an enemy in anything bigger than an ibis, or you've got 3v1 in cruisers vs. frigate. We've fought CA, PA, VA, Biomass, Mega, etc, and have at every time come out with a better, sometimes insane, kill ratio. But yeah, it wasnt till we flew with, instead of against, m0o that we were known. Lets face it pappy, the only thing Biomass has managed to "kick" in Obe has been "the can." But yes, it's "funny" about me bringing up making a name - especially when Biomass resurrected a dead one in hopes of bringing instant credibility to yourselves. For christs sake, you even mention how they dont expect known as the old crew, yet they use the name. Solid comeback, ace.

For the first few days they'll look for you and frequent the areas you tend to be seen in. If your corp is truly inexperienced you'll suffer a few initial losses... how? They'll gank a few of your members who are too foolhardy to realize that a hauler just isn't fast enough to run that gate. They'll get guys that realize too late that relying on 1 WCS isn't always the best option. A person who just happens to still think flying AFK on autopilot is a smart move during a war. Or the guy who doesn't know how to recognize a war tgt vs an outlaw/dangerous target and says "so THAT's what the scanner is for!" as he's climbing into his velator with a fresh clone. Or the mining team that doesn't watch local chat and gets that nice 40% insurance check in the mail. Or the guy that continuously runs the same agent over and over again so that he becomes well known to the locator agents... Or the people that think they can easily escape from a camped station... (it can be done though) After this learning curve is overcome it gets easier. Then you'll realize that it's nearly impossible for a 30 man corp to find another 30 man corp w/o a serious amount of intel. Just don't commit any one of the heinous mistakes and you'll come out unscathed. Don't use your battleship unless you are ready to loose it. Learn to use instajump BMs for your more travelled routes. ALTs are your best friends. Frigates and cruisers are fairly cheap and disposable. Be willing to loose those expensive implants. Jericho Fraction has gone through plenty of high profile wars this year and those of us who have fought in them have learned many of these lessons the hard way. I know what you're thinking... no I wasn't a victim of all of these Good luck and happy hunting. Posting for Numbnutz

Yawn Yawn Yawn .... one day in band camp .. Its actually refreshing to hand over a old corporation to new players and finally sit back and watch. So if your only point is that the new Biomass is not the old Biomass .... welcome to grade three. Whether Biomass has had its day or not, only time will tell but one thing is certain, they made their name whether past or present themselves and not as a puppet corporation waiting for someone to pull their strings. This thread is nothing more than a "cry baby" a smaller corporation has declared war on us and we can't strip mine in our battleships anymore. Declare war and lets all party or hush smack boy. You have a choice here: whine about life not being fair, or start fighting. Here's a few pointers: 1. Fight in what you can afford to lose. Kestrels, Breachers, Incursus, etc. Blackbirds, Thoraxes, and Mallers provide some heavy support. 2. Don't worry about your implants. While really there isn't much excuse for getting podded in most situations, it's going to happen sooner or later. Just make sure your clone is updated. 3. Don't smacktalk unless it's warranted. Did the enemy just do something stupid? Tell them so. Are you hiding in a station because you are outnumbered? Keep yer trap shut in local. 4. Don't use stupid ship setups. This does not mean you need named items. It means don't use stupid carebear ship setups. Read the Ships & Modules forum for advice on setting up combat ships. 5. Actually FIGHT! PvP is the most exciting thing in this game. So what if you don't have experience? Fight in frigates and just enjoy it. 6. Use TeamSpeak or another voice com when doing combat.
