Edited by: Kallbjorn on 19/07/2009 13:33:16 A change i would like to see in the the game in the future is make it to where if someone is salvaging your mission without being fleeted and the wreck has loot make it to where it flags the person.
As the game stands now wrecks are free game but if someone loots a wreck it flags them so that means the loot from the wreck is the player who is doing the mission so it seems only right that if someone salvages a wreck with loot in it its taking away the loot just as if they took it themselfs it should flag them also.
It could be made where if a ship has loot it cant be salvaged so at least the player doing all the work can at least benefit from the loot if not the salvage make it to where it can be toggled on and off. I dont know if this has ever been suggested but it seems to me a good idea.

I suggest removing of the ownership of loot like the salvage is already. The loot actually belongs to the downed NPC, not the wrecker.

This could be done also. To bad the npc is dead and has no further use for what he left. When you get poped your loot belongs to someone else what your suggesting is your loot be waiting for you where you died or something.

Edited by: Robert Caldera on 19/07/2009 13:55:35 there is still no need for an ownership change. If I get popped the loot is still my, I expect the same for NPC.

All wrecks and the loot they contain should belong to no one. It is floating space junk.

The same could be said about asteroids. No one owns them.

you fail to see my point? If I got popped I still own my stuff. If you kill me, the stuff isnt yours, if you kill an NPC the stuff is yours. This inconsistency has to be fixed making the stuff owned by NPC still after killed. There is no sense giving you the ownership to the stuff. For the salvage its correctly implemented, not for the loot, here is the flaw.

Wait what? salvaging a wreak doesnt remove the loot from the can, what are you on about? the loot is left behind in a can...

You know what instead of saying NO im going to say YES do it then i and many others will sit back grab some popcorn and wait for you to come back here crying your little greedy runner eyes out because the amount of times you have been killed has increased 10 fold.
TEARS and other ninja corps/alliances will have a ****ing feald day if this ever happens because we all know you greedy runners get to hurt over people cleaning up after you you just have to shoot back
I for one cant wait to see this forum then. Please refrain from editing a moderator's warning. Zymurgist |

Salvage was something added to create a mini-profession, not to give missionbears yet another risk-free way to farm ISK from their fortieth time through some L4 mission.
Per CCP Mitnal: Originally by: CCP Mitnal "Our policy on this is extremely clear... Salvaging is a mini-profession within EVE and does not constitute stealing."
Per GM Faolchu : Originally by: GM Faolchu Salvaging other peoples wrecks.... This is an intended game mechanic and is in no way an exploit. People salvaging your missions npcs or the player you just blew up are doing nothing wrong. The players are salvaging what is effectively floating rubbish in space and Concord places no value on this wreckage. Eve is a harsh place you won't always have everything go your way, its a do or die world and people do what they can to get along. If salvaging some wreckage gets them a few more ISK someone will do it, it doesn't matter who just blew it up.
Per Senior GM Ytterbium : Originally by: GM Ytterbium Players are still completely free to salvage other pilot wrecks at will ... and doing so is not considered as an exploit.
Per CCP Prism X : Originally by: CCP Prism X Why is stealing salvage OK? It's not. It shouldn't even be possible to move an item from your cargo-hold / hanger to another persons cargo-hold / hanger without opening a trade window. Before the salvage enters those containers it is not considered your stuff by the server code. Hence it's not stealing.
