hello,
my screen turned black after i setted the refres rate to 100 MHZ.. but i cant turn it back beacuse the screen is black..
Can anyone help?.. 
Some ghosts are from the afterlife, some take you there..

If its in Eve you have turned it to 100Hz then just delete the prefs.ini file in the gamedir/cache dir.
That should set Eve back to 60Hz.

You could try starting up windows in safe mode (press F8 during the bootup of windows). Then turn your refresh rate back to one that your monitor supports and reboot as normal. Hope that helps.

hey,
I did that in eve, but removing the prefs.ini doesn't work, it does make's a new one but it doesnt restore's the problem.
When you open the prefs.ini you will see that it doesn't says that it should display in 60MHZ or 100MHZ. And when i set the fullscreen to 0 so it should display in windowed mode.. weel it doesn't display's in windowed mode and still have the setting to 100MHZ so my sreen still goes black when i should to select my character. 
Is removing eve and installing it again an option or will i lose my progres and character if i do?

hey,
I cant find the settings that say to Eve to set refresh rate 60MHZ or 100MHZ, it doesn't use registery as well. I tried to find the registery (that it didn't had) with regedit (don't use this program if you don't know what is does).
Eve doesn't save's those settings in prefs.ini as well. I can't think of another place it could store those settings.

It's actually probably in EVE\cache\settings, probably pc.dat. Try moving those dat files to some other spot on your HD; when you connect to the server, it should re-create them with default values.

Sorry about that, i thought the setting was in prefs.ini
Well this should work then if that feature havent been removed from Eve.. Press alt-enter, this should change fullscreen to window mode (also the other way around)

Trun vsync on and it sould work, i had this prb also.. if it is on have you updated ur monitor/3d card drivers
advancedDevice=1 set that in ur prefs load into the game set presnet intervel to 2 or 3
