got it to work... somehow.
idk if this will work for you guys, but i have gotten my client to work (idk how) i open the eve.exe in BIN folder and after eve opened up, a box with an appearant update apeared which i tried to apply, and failed however. I then exited the progam and ran the launcher again. The launcher successfully applied a patch and ran eve. GL |

Before this patch, I was just thinking to myself, there aren't nearly enough steps involved in launching my clients. Thanks CCP and thanks to everyone for the awesome workaround. \o/ |

This was a weird experience that luckily sorta solved itself for me.
Ran my EVE Online shortcut like I always do and the launcher wanted to update, but came out with a 404 error before even beginning. After multiple tries, without luck, I decided to run the repair.exe tool. Being as lazy as I am, I just hit the Windows-key (to bring up the Start menu) and typed in 'repair'. It came up with a few repair tools, one of which had a blue and white icon similar to the EVE Online icon, so I ran that one.
Nothing happened.
Thinking I might have run the wrong repair tool, I went into the CCP folder and found the repair.exe file and ran it just in case. Got an error saying something about the file not being available to me with my current clearance (I'm the only user and using the administrator account), upon which the repair.exe file was suddenly renamed to repair.exe_qgfwin.
Baffled by it all, I came here to post my error log, but when I ran the EVE Online shortcut to trigger the error, it updated the launcher and downloaded/installed something for the client (probably 1.0.1).
Game can now be played.
Like... I don't even... |

I went into the launcher folder and clicked on "Apply Patch". Hit icon on my client, launcher downloaded and applied something. Clients launching and working as before. \o/ |

I guess it would be too much to ask for these Ass Clowns to fix their game since we're paying REAL isk to play OR at least let us know that there are issues and that they're trying to fix them. FRUSTRATING!!!!! |
