I use a Minmatar Mammoth for mining. I love the cargo room, but it only allows for 1 turret mount so my mining laser is running solo. Is there a way to modify ships so I can add another mount?

I am sorry to say, but the only way you can get more turret hard points it to get another ship. I could not think of anything more cool, then to just slap another laser on to the side of my indy, but they just dont let you =(.
The only thing i can say is just wait for SHIVA, and the Mining Barges. They are saposed to be a cross between the Industrial ships, and Mining Apoc's. Granted it will not be as strong as an Apoc, and wont mount 8 mining lasers, but im sure it will mount a few. But we will found out all information come October when it goes live on the test server.

Mjority of miners actually use a frigate, cruiser of bs for mining. We transfer our ore to an open cargo container which will hold more and allow you to continue mining and then we simply get the indy and haul it back to stn from the container.
