The channel is finally comming back to life.
Got several folks who frequent it now. Can't wait to see more of y'all in there. I know we've got D/FW, Houston, and El Paso represented now.
I still stay in the channel whenever I'm online, so feel free to follow suit.
Shame the GMs denied giving me Creator privalegs to the channel. Maybe they'll have a change of heart sometime.
Oh, and Eris, make sure ISD don't get too sick of the rants and just lock this. Every Texan here just thinks the rants are hilarious. ---

There is a Texan in my Political Science class. She cant shut her mouth about how good Texas is and how much betters its laws are than other states...
Just one of thousends of examples of Texans competing against people who dident know there was a race...

Don't take me wrong here. I'm fonder of talebans than the above 'people' - but did it ever occur to you maybe she felt she just had reason to be proud? And if she actually thinks things work better there - isn't it her responsibility to spread the word and try to better the rest of the country?

Yeah! You're right! That must also be true of the people who have told me that "women are just bred better in Texas" and "the economy in Texas is just stronger" and "there are more types of terrain in Texas than in other states" and "we are only part of america becasue we are compssionate -- we are the only state with the right to declare independance" and "food just is made better in Texas" and "Texas schools produce the most educated teenagers in America" etc etc etc
Not to mentino the comments like
"Well, in Texas, we dont inturrupt people when they are talking." and "Yeah.. well I'm from Texas, I know when a store is charging too much for a can of paint." and "So.. what state are you from? *other person says some state* "Oh... :( I'm from Texas!" and "Well actually I'm from texas but only up here to take care of my Grandma." or "I'm from Texas but I'm only up here for 2 semesters of college for this and that reason." etc etc etc.
Nothing wrong with "being proud" of where you are from. But constantly acting like people are somehow in a worse condition than you because they are not from Texas is just silly. I have nothing against Texas. I dont think its any better or worse than my home state. I just get annoyed that many of the Texans I meet seem to have this weird agenda that just seems out of place to me. Very competetive and always mentioning Texas whenever they can.
When I lived in the Philippines for a few years I dident make comments like that about America. I just was friends with the people and enjoyed the great things of the Philippines and not mentioning the negative points I discovered to the natives. But I was still "proud" of America and I consdier America to be, in general, a more secure place with more advantages and less disadvantages than the Philippines. But did I make little comments and remarks all the time whenever I had a chance? Nope. Doing so would be immature and create division where none needs to be created...

You guys take things way too seriously. Lighten up, would ya.
I'm just out to meet a few new faces in EVE. Faces that are more often online at the same time as me. My 94-member corp only has 1 other person online at the moment because most of them are not from the US.
Yes, I'm proud to be Texan. No, I'm not trying to degrade other people or places. I'm not saying Texas is the best place in the world (though there's nowhere else I'd rather be). When I'm somewhere else or talking to someone that's not Texan I'm not competetive. I don't go around telling them that where they live sucks in comparison, or that they're stupid for not liking Texas.
Still don't like my attitude? Think I'm "immature" and creating division? Four paragraphs dedicated to outright insults and not-so-humble opinions is what you add to this post? Who's the immature one who's creating division now? ---

All your posts and comments have been fine thus far. When did I single you out?
And no, I'm not being immature. You think I'm just making all this up? I am simply educating you so that if you happen to meet a fellow Texan who has this weird attitude disorder that I mentioned you can help him to quit making Texans looks like arrogant fools.
Don't take me wrong here....If the things I am saying are true - isn't it my responsibility to spread the word and try to better the rest of the country?
In the general sense I am not the aggressor. I am simply responding to years of "I rox u sux" attitude and I'm letting you know so that you might be able to identify it when one of your 'brothers' or 'sisters' puts people down for not being born in the right place.
