I'm waiting for approval of a corporate application and would like to do something besides mine. When I look for agents, though, the only one available to me is from the epic arc. How do I find an agent? (Preferably Admin.) Should I try another station?

I'm also new. What I have found so far. www.eve-agents.com F10 - one of the options is to show your available agents.(Learn to use the map, it can be your friend) Just flying to random starbases could take a while.
Others with more experience will have more info I'm sure.
Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the link very useful but quick question as I dont think I am reading the 'standings' correctly.
I've filtered for Gallente Faction, in Essence, ordered by Required Standing (Ascending), now the list starts at -1,0 with a middle of 0,0 and the highest being 0,7.
How does that relate to my standing on my character sheet which is 0.32 (Neutral) ?
Thanks, Wigs.

With all the agents standings requirements, your standing must be higher or equal to the minimum.
So if the agent is show at -1.0, you can use that agent at 0.32 since 0.32 > -1.0
You do want to use the agents with the highest level AND quality.
Note that your NPC corporation standing is the highest of either your faction standing or your standing with that specific corporation.

The best/easiest way to find new agents is to look under the "Standings" tab on your character sheet, click the info button (blue circle with an "i") next to your faction (in my case, its Caldari State), then select "Member Corporations."
You can check the Info tab of various corps and then look under the "Agents" tab for each. You'll be able to see a list of agents that are available to you and what their quality rating is.
Since I just started the game I've been doing missions for Caldari Navy agents. After I raise my standing with one I'll occasionally check the Agents list again, and there will often be a new one with a better rating available to me.

Ahhh On that Eve-Agents it shows as a comma, so -1.0 reads as -1,0 which was what was confusing me. Changing all the commas for a full stop makes it all read right now !
Thanks buddy +1

Just a tidbit here... to figure the standings required to use a particular agent. ((Agent Level*2)-2)+((Agent Quality)*0.05) So for example, a level 3, quality -13 agent... ((3*2)-2)+(-13*0.05) (4)+(-0.65) 3.35 required effective standing.
You can look also in the agents tab of an NPC corporation info to see the list of agents they have. (You can click the blue (i) button on the corporate logo in the station to bring up the corporate information window, for one)
If you have less than -2.00 with Any of [Faction], [Corporation], or [Agent] you won't be able to get missions from that agent, regardless of other standings you may have.

I visited Jark Cryele / Security with Required standing: 0,3
I have 0.32 but he just said (moodily) "I only give missions to those that have joined the war!"
Is there a recruitment office or something I've missed

Edited by: Pirate Tom on 22/07/2009 21:34:51 Some agents are militia agents. They won't give you a mission unless you've joined the militia for their faction. (A decision not to be taken lightly, recommended that you hold off until you're more familiar with the game and sure more of what you want to do) [edit follows] And the recruitment thing is a little military type logo somewhere on the bottom of the neocom when you're docked, or if I remember correctly there should be a big button with the station services, in many cases.

If you're using the EVE Agents website, just make sure the "FW Agent" option is set to No. Might as well set "Storyline Agent" to No while you're at it. -- Warezmy Carr's Skills: Here |

How exactly do you figure out all this stuff without asking questions? Even if you use a search engine you're still asking questions, just without the pointing and snickering from onlookers.
Keep asking. For every idiot, there's someone who may give you the answer you're looking for.

I thought that a L2 Q-20 was better than a L1 Q20 agent for rewards.
Can anyone confirm? (ignoring difficulty levels)
