Imagine how this will effect the FUN and also the ecomonics of EVE. WE NEED to have major conflicts going on in order to ensure stuff gets BLOWN UP, needs manufacturing and replaced. If there are no more wars, then the markets all over EVE are going to get saturated, and lame.
What do the rest of EVE Universe think about this?

Relax it's human nature to want to kill your friends who are closest to you, what would work best would be 2 equal sized "Teams" that rotate around in a clockwise fashion stealing ans gaining sov at a equal rate.
Also your forgetting about factional warfare... more people need to join that.

We have become fat and lazy sitting in curse and will only engage targets within titan bridge range...
Please send help fast, the targets are drying up and we are not sure how long we can last before the alliance failure cascades!!!

There is always a lull in summer with war conflicts. It comes down to the fact the playerbase shrinks in Summer as people go on holiday.
Plus as some people have already mentioned the upcoming winter expansion with sov changes means that some alliances are not willing to commit fully to a conflict incase those sov changes mean they have to change of adapt in the middle of a war.

It is clear WHY it is that a super NAP fest is in EVE.
It is kinda like after World War II, now there is this 'cold war' of mutually insured destruction happening.
All alliances should ( if they want to survive ) build up massive stock pile of Towers, Capital Fleets, BS and Hac fleets, along with pos fuel and all the rest.
EVE on the grand scale is in a peaceful state after BoB died and IRC/ED (the last remaining resistance alliances with SOV and money ) are all now gone.
And with the up coming sov mechanic changes, if I was a big alliance I would wait to see what that means... it could mean that sov is easier to take IF your alliance is in-active and harder to take if it active... we will have to see...
It is kinda amazing that the new sov changes are to be released JSUT WHEN EVE NEEDS IT THE MOST!!!
Right now no one wants a massive sov war, cuz we all know POS bashing sucks... so the peace in EVE galaxy wide and the up coming sov mechinical changes really is amazing, in terms of timing.

Eve is like one big game of multiplayer whack-a-mole. As long as quarters are being fed into the machine, targets will periodically pop up only to be smacked down again.
It's pretty fun but nbd.
