I have received conflicting info regarding reverse engineering (RE) and have been in the forums and the guides sections for almost four hours now. I really wanted to find info already established instead of bothering you good people for info and making the extremely long list of threads even longer. But that didn't work out so well.
Question: Can RE be used to make T2 BPO's or is it restricted to T3 only?
Please only answer if you have made T2 BPO's or have used RE for both as this will hopefully reduce conflicting answers.
The Grey Area: If RE has been used in the past for T2 BPO creation but no longer works (like the T2 BPO lotto that is now gone  ) please post this info as well.
Thanks for your time and feel free to post all other RE info you have once the question has been answered so others don't have to look for half a day to find scraps of half useful info.
Oh, and please refrain from posting 'witty' comments about others spelling, grammar, or any other non-constructive posts as I want this to be a place to easily find RE info without having to scroll or hunt through personal attacks. Thanks and fly safe.

No. RE is totally unrelated to T2 BPOs. It is ONLY for T3 BPCs.

There is no method of obtaining T2 BPOs, save for buying one from the lottery days from someone at an outlandish price. You can, however, make all the T2 BPCs you want through Invention.

Yes, I jumped into Invention with both feet and it has sucked up much isk from my wallet. But it should pay for itself in the future. I am doing ME on the last 2 component BPO's that I have. I did manage to make a Golum 2 run BPC.
I am just looking for a way to get some T2 BPO's.

RE is brand spanking new. Invention was the replacement for the stupidity that was the T2 BPO lottery. Implementing RE as a way to get T3 BPCS was simply using the same concept for the newest tech level.

t1 producing= cheap cheap
getting t2 bpc's = expensive to start
producing t2= relativly expensive
getting a t2 BPO = HA! yah right
assuming you can find someone who wants to sell their t2 bpo, you will pay out the arse for it
