Well yesterday all was well, logged on tonight, everything fine till i noticed that over half the sounds weren't working, no flying noise, no railgun noise, no warpgate noise, the only in game sounds i have are the clicking noises i have when moving the cursor over a button and the sound of warping, but other than them nothing, HELP !

Try deleting your cache, you may have some corrupted sound files cached there.
Go to ../eve/cache and kill everything in there EXCEPT prefs.ini and the /settings directory, this will preserve your ingame preferences and your bookmark folders.

If you have an Audigy card, make sure you havent accidentially selected quad speakers when you're using headphones, or two speakers.

funnily enough i was playing about with my audio settings before this happened, but i reset them to 2 speakers (i think) after trying to fit 4 speakers with no luck, will have to try this out when i get back from work, thanks for info probably just me not resetting it correctly or something, hope it gets resolved

my sound went too, using audigy 2, i could never get the center speaker to work with full hardware acceleration setting under directx settings, had to have it set to standard, now the center speaker is working on full, same as on standard, but some sounds went missing. like exploading containers again...
