ALERT!
GalNet has been hacked! IGS has been hacked by or on behalf of one Det Mallore of the DED coporation. While the ultimate reason for this hacking seems benign, the fact of it happening demands an investigation! How did this occur? Who benefits? What is the ultimate goal?
I cal on as evidence of the hacking these three global priority alerts. ((Locked sticky topics))

Authored by the private corporation of DED which has no visible relation to any entities sanctioned to make global priority alerts. This demands an investigation. The GalNet deserves and explanation on how it was hacked to allow the communique.

Well, pilot Grunthor, much as I admire your desire to get to the bottom of what may appear to you to be a mystery, I fear I am bound to say that there is no great mystery here and you are, unusually, overlooking some rather clear links between Det Mallore and those responsible for regulating GalNet.
The fact is that the DED corporation is no mere private entity, it is rather the military and intelligence arm of CONCORD, the Directive Enforcement Division, as can clearly be seen by studying its standard information profile.
GalNet is essentially regulated by CONCORD via its sub-committee the Communication Relay Committee.
Det Mallore appears to be an employee in good standing with the DED and I would suggest therefore that there is little to wonder about here. This is not an instance of hacking. Rather, one arm of CONCORD has obliged another arm. Not something I particularly welcome but then I am an opponent of CONCORD in all its baleful manifestations.
Given this, I rather suspect calls for an investigation will be met with puzzlement over at the CRC and DED.

Pilot,
If these were indeed Global Priority Alerts, their display would supersede all other postings in all other forums on GalNet. This, however, is not the case. They are not Alerts, either; rather, an explanation of a recently-offered service provided by CONCORD, as well as two full summaries that have since been produced. Hardly anything worthy of being labeled as "hacking."

You know what I've learned? I learned quite a long time ago that "jokes" like the above are inevitably going to fall flat slightly in capsuleer circles because too many capsuleers are insane enough to go off on a rant like the one above and be entirely earnest.
It's a sad sort of circle we have when outrageously paranoid assertions and panic are given more weight than they deserve simply because a significant minority of our fellow pilots would make such rants without the faintest hint of jest.

I've learned something as well. The joke may not be funny, but the irrational ire it provokes from those who "don't get it" is far more hilarious.

I can only agree here.
Although this seems to be a case of sarcasm getting lost in translation. A pretty difficult form of humor to pass on through a textual medium as well.

It's just static. If a message or part of a message gets too garbled there is an automatic deletion.
And I did find the OP's posts rather funny. But I can see where others thought it was serious... we do get a lot of crazies in here.
