Hey all, just bought a shiny new taranis. It's my first ever interceptor, does anyone have any good setups for PvP, i favor speed vs. weapon power btw. Also, any skill suggestions that would make the Taranis as good as i know it can be would be great :).

hrmmm I think the setup I got, is.... 3 modal ions, webber scrambler and mwd II (best you can get named/tech whatever) then in the lows if you like speed, but on an overdrive injector or 2, and a damage mod in the last lowslot, a tech 2 preferably. That for me seems to be an optimal setup because against other intys it helps to bridge the speed gap, cuz it is only a tad bit slower than the next couple above it, and that little extra advantage may mean getting into your webber range, or death. stay away from neutrons, they are crap and use too much grid, a setup for optimal damage i found is 2 modal/tech 2 electrons, a tech 2/modal ion, and i believe it was 3 tech 2 damage mods in the lows. That thing will easily spit out over 200 dps, and thats without surg 5 OR advanced hybrid turret specialization... and then again im not sure about the CPU requirements if using tech 2 guns, you might run out, especially with that setup, just play with everything, those 2 i believe to be some of the best, and ill argue it with anyone who says otherwise... unless of course they found some (impossible) way to get a better setup |

3 tch2 ions, (proto cloak for combo scouting) MWD, web/scrambler(dual web) 2x aux power cores, 400mm rolled tungsten plates.
Although you cant repair on the move the 1k armor kicks ass, also not the fastest but once in range for dual web its bye bye other ceptor and can face some anti frigate cruisers to. ----------------------------------------------

Are you sure you have enough CPU for that?

havnt tried any rail setups really, you would have to put something to help with the cap I think, because with the mwd you dont have a SUPER strong cap. Always thought about it, never tried it.

3 t2 electrons, small t2 smartbomb, t2mwd nice webby and either 20k or 7.5km scrambler. PD1 cap relay and small t2 armour repair and stick some drones in as well, rude not too as you have some space. Very nice closeup orbit setup for dmg with evil ROF and the T2 specialisation skills negates the need for DMG mod thoug have tried them with 3 dmg mods for a laugh and they just east thru a ravens sheilds in a blink.
