Possible but if you make even one mistake you will die. Also it better be a ship that needs cap to fire like an Apoc or a Megathron. And make sure he has full aggro from a big BS spawn.

Some people say it's a sucky ship and I could see why they'd say that.
But in my opinion it's one of the most dangerous solo ships around with a cov ops cloak as it has pretty good offensive and defensive capabilities for a ship class that's traditionally a weak ship hiding behind strong electronic capabilities.

I would say it can talk on a battleship for sure if it uses it's strengths to get under the the battleships defences and it's hurt other cruisers.
However I would avoid battlecruisers and hac's and tech 3's though.
I would also avoid interceptors as it doesnt have massive neut/nos range like a curse. |

Stay away from anything that might be using missiles, they will ruin your day. I have found that the pilgrim works best like said above, make sure you attack when they are least expecting it and when the target has full aggro. I have found myself waiting for a few hours just for my target to get aggro from a triple bs spawn. it helps ALOT. Best to wait untill you see the armor rep or shield booster going. That way you know they are already using cap and taking damage.
Alot of people dont like the pilgrim due to its range as it is a little close. But that is why you have a very nice tracking disrupter bonus .
I dont know about you guys, but if im ratting in an apoc or something and a pilgrim uncloaks right next to me im going to start swearing. Friend of mine killed an abaddon about a week ago. kinda scrub fit but meh. |

I must say I'm a bit disappointed when it comes to the pilgrim.
It looked very nice on paper but when it comes down to is you need to be up close and personal in a ship that has a crappy tank (if you think I'm wrong about this pls show me a good way to do it in a setup that's feasible because I can't see it).
I guess it only works if you RLY pick your targets well which I suppose is ships you could kill in any other ship. Guess the cov ops cloak is its strongest part, the curse just outshines it in every way imo (since they cost as much...) |

I found this fit on these here forums, and it seems to have as solid a tank as any T2 cruiser with 5 low slots can have.

Needs a 1% CPU implant, or replace one of the T2 modules for a faction-something. One Amarr Navy EANM will do it.
Of course, you can swap the egress ports for trimarks to get more tank, but it seems unnecessary.

Pilgrim tank (and Curse/Arby as well for that matter) is tracking disruptors.
Fly under the guns is the key, hence why people are saying avoid missile boats (since missiles obviously are unaffected by turret disruption). Also other droneboats can be a challenge since you need to micro-manage drone-vs-drone fighting and whoever runs out of drones first will be screwed.
I've flown Arbitrator alot before I hopped into Curse/Pilgrim, and only real tank I've ever had was the disruptors. I never bothered with neuts on the Arby though, and rather fitted missiles/turrets.
In a Curse though I've done alot better, but again, I only use disruptors as defense, and neuts to shut down other ships. Came out on-top in a fight against an Apoc, Omen and Punisher once :) Neut/scramble apoc, disrupt Omen, disrupt Punisher. Let drones eat up Punisher then chase off Omen with drones.
Was a fun fight, but kinda meh opponents :) The Apoc died at least ^^ Couldn't have done that with Pilgrim really. Once I drained the Apoc I could focus med-neuts on Puni and Omen thanks to huge range.
I should really fly my Pilgrim more though. It's a great ship, but it's very situational when you can/should engage another ship. Also, the drawback with the Arby/Curse/Pilgrim is the drone DPS being fairly low in comparison to other T2 ships, so once committed you need a bit of time to destroy an opponent, especially larger ships such as BC's and BS's. Quite often you don't have a large window of opportunity to finish off larger ships before they get reinforced by corpies or friends.
Anyways, to answer the question, disruptor is your friend :) --------------------------------------------------

you seem to be missing something rather important in that setup...

I think its not a good idea to fit 3x med neuts.. 1x med and 2x small sounds better for me.

Train...recons...5. You have NO idea how much easier it makes life to free up all that CPU. ATM, I am liking:
1x Med Neut II 2x Med Nos II (Can fit small neuts though if you aren't going to go after anything that moves fast and can stay out of your range) 1x Cov Ops Cloak
1x 10mn MWD II 1x Scram 2x Balmer Tracking Disruptors 1x Med Cap Injector
1x Suitcase 1x Med Armor Rep II 3x EANM II
1-2x Egress Port Maximizer 0-1x Anti Thermic Pump
Works nicely with a set of LG Talismans.
Flame away.

Um. No. Make sure he shoots with turrets and needs cap to tank. You should be using a TD anyway, so it doesn't matter if he uses projectiles. --
