Exploration is broken! *shocked face*
In all actuality, faction spawns aren't broken, you're just having a run of bad luck. Come back with 500-1000 datapoints per anom and solid records of their drops and the lack of any faction spawns at all and anoms will be reclassified to code orange, "there's a decent chance something screwy's going on". |

Luck based. Your just on a bad run, you could not see a faction spawn for the next 1000 sites you run and it still would not be broken, its just lady luck ******* on your face. |

If you ran 1000 sites and received nothing then it IS broken, that is the definition of broken. |

If you have a 1% chance of a spawn happening each time you do a site, this does not mean if you do a site 100 times you will get a spawn. The probability of each event is independent.
Though if you've done 1000 and no spawn/escalation either you're doing something wrong or someone at CCP really doesn't like you  |

If the change of a faction spawn is about 1 in 20, then the odds of not getting one for 1000 sites in a row is about 5x10^-23, which is some really, really bad luck. |

At 1% you'd have to do 10,000 and that only gives ya 100% of getting the spawn.. then you take in the chance of a decent drop ..

Consider the statement:
"Faction spawns no longer occur in anomalies."
To prove this true, you would have to observe that every anomaly run by every character in game did not have a faction spawn.
But to prove it wrong, you would only need one counter-example of a faction spawn occurring in an anomaly.
There is no such thing as 100% when it comes to random, also EVE is not fair, etc. |

I was helping a new player in Test do anomalies for the first time yesterday and we got a faction spawn.
The point is, op is questioning something that has a stupidly low probability because he is frustrated he's not getting any shiny toys.
Meanwhile, you are being the white knight of stupidity and ignorance.

Actually try running anom's straight after DT. I got a whopper today from a haven, first time I have got a rattlesnake bpc, crystal beta and a dg warp scrambler plus two types of ammo.
I normally find running 15-20 havens a day you get at least 2-3.
