I want to put Eve on a flash drive, that's easy.. but I want to know what the LUA code is that makes it store your logs and everything on the flash drive too, instead of your user/documents folder..
I have found the code online, but no one that I have seen has said where to locate it.. Anyone know, and mind shooting me the code and its location so I can get set up?
Thanks!

Like this? F:\CCP\EVE\eve**** /end /LUA:OFF
Also, will it make the settings and log folder in the flash drive instead of the my documents, or will it just not make that folder at all anymore?
Thanks

I must be doing it wrong, it's running off the usb, but it's still placing the eve folder into 'my documents' and not on the usb. pain in the balls if you ask me.

if you run eve on the same pc via the usb. it should have the same drive every time. so install it on F: like you would have on C:, but before you do that create a 'my documents' folder exactly like you have on your C: drive... should trick the installer to point at that.

1. create a txt file with the following:
set USERPROFILE=x:\EVE\ Start "eve" x:\EVE\bin****File**** /nosplash /noconsole /end /LUA:OFF exit
2. change "x:\" to the drive letter of your USB stick.
3. save the txt file as StartEVE.bat or StartEVE.cmd or whatever you want and put it in the root of the USB drive.
4. create a "My Documents" folder in "x:\EVE\" so you have "x:\EVE\My Documents\".
5. You can now launch EVE by using the StartEVE.bat/cmd script.
6. ???

Which non printing character is that and can you use a keystroke or did you have to paste it from another program?

On a more serious note, how large of a flash drive do you need to run Eve off of it?

Sorry, but I don't understand your question.

The current release takes about 4.9gb space. So calculate with 5gb disk space min.

the post above that one has escaped the filter with a character that when I click quote in firefox it does not draw in the quoted text, however when I copy that quote text to Notepad++ it draws as a '-'. I was asking Arec Bardwin about that character.
Thanks for the size info, I guess i need to be looking at an 8 or 10Gb drive to be safe then.
