ethnic relations = extra 20% per skill level of different race pilots.
So if I had corp management at 5 I have 100 members max. With ethnic relations at 1 I would have 120 members as long as 20 where not Galante like me?

No.
With corp 5 and ethnic 0 all 100 members would have to be gallente like you.
With corp 5 and ethic 1, 20% out of those 100 members may be amarr, minmatar or caldari. You're still limited at a total of 100.

no it is not clear...
extra would imply 20 more members in my case, esp since corp managment places no restrictions on race in the text. But for some reason everyone thinks it is the other way. I also remember the skill had different text a few years back.

I think....that a corp can have a certain percetage of other races in its membership (10% , 5% ?)right from the start . "Extra" applies to that base percentage . Simple solution is train it to 4 and fahgetaboutit

Depends what you think is the base value that the "extra" refers to. I think it's fairly clear: the extra 20% is in relation to a base value of 0% that can be of another race than the CEO, which has nothing to do with the amount of people that can be in the corp.

There is nothing to clear up! As everyone in this thread has told you, your interpretation of how the skill works is wrong. Get over yourself, cancel your ticket, save a GM some time and help someone else move up the queue.
Edit to spell it out for you:
if you have the skills to have 1200 members in corp, then at the following levels of Ethnic Relations you can have:
level 0: any number of members of the CEO's race, no other races, up to the maximum of 1200
level 1: any number of members of the CEO's race, up to 240 of other races, total number up to the maximum of 1200
level 2: any number of members of the CEO's race, up to 480 of other races, total number up to the maximum of 1200
level 3: any number of members of the CEO's race, up to 720 of other races, total number up to the maximum of 1200
level 4: any number of members of the CEO's race, up to 960 of other races, total number up to the maximum of 1200
level 5: any number of members of the CEO's race, up to 1200 of other races, total number up to the maximum of 1200

Oh, wow. Why do people do stuff like this? Seriously Footoo, why don't you try and figure it out for yourself? If you can't understand the skill description (lol) and can't understand the descriptions that people here are giving you. Why not train the skill yourself and see what happens?
