This is not an issue CCP is in a position to affect, it is a matter of supply and demand in a player run market.
I don't understand this line of "reasoning". CCP is the "god" of the Eve universe, they can do whatever the hell they want to the game. If you think Eve is some kind of ultra-realistic economic simulator, you're mistaken. Sure, it's complex for an MMO, but that's not saying much.
If you were to imagine real moons, across multiple star systems, do you really think each moon would contain an unlimited supply of only certain kinds of minerals? Or would they each have a ratio of most minerals, with some moons having more of some kinds than others? So, if you want to bust out with the "supply and demand" stuff, let's go ahead and talk about redesigning the moon mining system to give us a more accurate representation of a real market supply.
I'd vastly prefer to see moon minerals come out of each moon in ratios of lots of minerals, that changed over time, so that instead of these "capture the flag" type static points that everyone wants to hold, the situation is far more dynamic and unpredictable.
Then we can talk about "supply and demand".
No, let's talk Supply and Demand for this video game, which the mechanics are already in place for.
Idiotic Real Life comparison, you seriously expect CCP to redesign the whole moon mineral system so you can fly more HAC's into suicide runs?
We are talking about supply and demand, in THIS GAME, not about RL.
My Point still stands.
Just to clear my post up incase you don't understand what I'm talking about:
Your trying to apply real life economic logic, with completely different circumstances to a video game with, again, completely different circumstances, and trying to justify the former (RL economics) to suit your needs. Again, I say, stop flying HAC's or stop dying in them. Please re-size your signature to a maximum of 400 x 120 with the file size not exceeding 24000 bytes.Applebabe

It's fine. If you don't want to pay for an HAC, either
a) Fly a BS, or
b) Fly a t1 cruiser, or even
c) Fly a battlecruiser.

Excerpts from CCP Soundwave during the pre round 2 chatter in the AT forum.

Um.
Fly more T1 ships?
Only buy/fly nano*** HACs/Recons that don't die often?
It's already been said 500 times in the thread, but if you stop buying T2 cruisers then the prices will come down. I agree that the prices are out of hand which is why I simply don't buy them anymore. There are a ton of effective and cost efficient T1 ships that you can fly. ----- The Python Cartel - My Pirate Blog |
