Hello
As i tried to sell some of the <generic t1 item> i had built just recently i noticed that <generic t1 item> was infact selling for less than build cost. i was infuriated that someone had <decided to sell their stock early/built the item with cheaper mins/bought the item cheaper> and i was wondering why they would do such a thing to <collapse proft/annoy me/cause a general market anomily>. I beleive that the person responsible is <stupid/mega stupid/fiendishly planning some sort of market manipulation>
and i was wondering what your opinion on why these people are so stupid is?

Just because someone gets their minerals cheaper, doesn't mean their buildcost is lower.
Mineral cost = cheapest sell order price.

Hello
As i tried to peruse the <forums> i had loaded recently i noticed that <the op> was infact a moron. i was infuriated that someone had <decided to allow said moron onto the internet> and i was wondering why they would do such a thing to <spoil my internets>. I beleive that the person responsible is <a worthless waste of space>
and i was wondering what your opinion on why these people are so stupid is?

I think people need to complain somewhere...its called venting.
We're supposed to say "Amen Brother", or "I feel your pain" .
That makes the complainer they feel better to know that other people feel the same way and they return to the trading trenches instead of rage quitting.

As I am sure this has been debated to death, I will point out that it could very easily be argued that the mineral value should be the most expensive buy order price... namely that which they could get from selling the minerals on the market...
In addition, if they can get their minerals cheaper, their build cost is indeed cheaper, the overall value is not. Build cost is literally how much it cost them to make it... the build value is how much it is /worth/. Ultimately you want to aim to get your build costs down while keeping the value high...
Now yes, they could potentially get more isk by selling the minerals on the market, but that is neither here nor there as they have chosen to do this instead, either because they believe (perhaps erroneously) that they can move more this way then selling the minerals for a profit... or because they are stupid and don't realize they can make more selling the minerals, or because they want to mess with the market, or because they have a surplus of goods, or, or, or... The point of the OP I think is that it is never 100% black and white...
