Adversity; a condition marked by misfortune, calamity, or distress.
It is a well-known fact that 98% of you will not join this corporation, let alone read this post in it's entirety. And that's fine, because It's also a known fact that 98% of you are haters, and there is no place for haters in Adversity. Unless you're hating your mortal enemies, arch-rivals, or just plain people that aren't as good at EVE as you, in which case it is perfectly fine.
That being said, we are a small, tight-knit group of active PvP'ers looking to wreak havoc across Syndicate in whatever ways we can. We, as pilots, have previous experience ranging from being a part of 200man Maelstrom blobs, 30 man gangs of faction BS + triage carriers, all the way down to 3 guys running around in assault frigates tearing apart anything they can catch.
98% (what a lovely number innit) of recruitment posts will tell you the same thing: we are a laid back corporation looking for good times and pew pew, will offer assistance and training where needed, etc etc. I would like to point out that this is NOT what Adversity. is all about. To clarify;
- We are lighthearted and jovial, but not laid back. Laid back implies a general "couldn't care less" attitude, the kind of "laid back" FC's that will derp his fleet's **** and not care about it (I didn't want that carrier anyway, the insurance was about to run out). There will be lolz suicide derp roams, but we will never knowingly direct you into certain suicide without explicitly stating so before the fleet leaves home.
-Adversity. is a corp for experienced PvP'ers; aka, if you have never shot at another player ship in your life, Adversity. is not for you. If you are a bit wet around the ears, have at least some PvP experience, or just haven't been on into the PvP scene for awhile and are looking to get back into it, we are more than willing to teach you new tricks, new fits, and new techniques of fighting and flying together, but we are NOT here to teach you basics. That's what Agony courses and RvB is for.
- That being said, we intend to maintain the highest of standards for this corp; players who excel will be lauded and awarded, players who consistently fall short will be removed (aka consistently having bad fits, consistently being ganked doing stupid ****, having a bad attitude etc)
"So what are you looking for?", you may ask yourself, which would be perfectly within your rights to ask. And this would be my answer.
- We are looking for pilots who aren't afraid to lose their ships in a goodfight. PIlots who aren't afraid to fight another gang without having twice their numbers, or as many ECM boats as the other gang has ships total. Pilots who aren't satisfied sitting around gatecamping all day, and want more out of PvP.
- Pilots with thick, thick skin who like to sit around and bullshit each other on TS while not in a gang (or even during). Pilots who aren't afraid too admit they love My Little Pony and Hannah Montana (because let's face it, you do). Pilots who overruse the word "bro," almost to a fault.
- Dependable, reliable pilots who do what they're asked. Seriously who wants somebody that isn't reliable?
- Due to our current size we specialize in small, fast, and hard-hitting ships like Assault Frigs and Destroyers. Having SP invested in those is a major bonus.
- If you can fly a logistics ship to fine effect, I will love you for life.
- Since Adversity. is a new corporation, there are opportunities for advancement and taking on new responsibilities, if that's your thing.

No, bad idea's are still bad regardless of the outcome. Especially these bad ideas.
