Yes, I like the new system - While recognizing that there are real issues for people dealing with lots of clutter - which incidentally CCP has acknowledged, and are working to resolve while sourcing for opinions from the playerbase. Which they could have done much earlier, yes.
Also confirming that having a singular point of view that happens to align with CCPs makes me a fanboi who thinks CCP's the amazing peanut butter/grape jelly to go with aforementioned bread. |

Overall it's a decent change, but for the most part it needs tweaking. Such as the loot windows resetting to the cargo hold window everytime one closes. |

All the people that think there was nothing Wrong with the previous way are simply wrong.
Did it FUNCTION ? Yes. But there was lots wrong with it.. Having to have multiple windows open just to move stuff around is a pain in the ass. Running an Orca with have the screen covered in Ore Hold, Cargo, Corp, maybe Maintenance, Maybe a few cans... just a pain..
Simple thing, they aren't gonna roll back. It's not gonna happen.
So start posting suggesting on how to improve the new system, beyond make it the old system..
Hell the new system as it stands works almost the same as every OS does for File management.. It's not flawed, it's that way for a reason, it works, and it's not that complex.. Once they fix some of the bugs, and iron out a few issues, it'll be great.
And if you can't adapt, then you can just get left behind. Cause it works fine for me, and all my alts.. And most people I've talked too in game..Everyone agrees there are some changes that needs to be made, but raging doesn't help CCP identify the SPECIFIC problems you have..
In fact most of the people don't have specific problems.. they are raging cause it's a change, and change is bad.. and those people are doing their best drown out everyone who likes the new system, has improvements for the new system, and even those who have serious issues with the new system.. drowning out everyone who says anything other than it needs to be reverted.
You wonder why these issues made it to live.. I saw the threads when it was on SiSi.. it was 5 people bringing up issues, and 150 screaming about how it will be the end of eve and they will quit the game if it goes live and how the new inventory system eats babies.. |

? Noone wants to play 'eVe-The OS Game'. True that system is good for an OS, and it's that way because it's for an OS and file management. The 'bug' seems to be, a dev thinks that eVe is an OS, do u think eVe is an OS?

? so u admit it was mentioned during testing and that test feedback was ignored? Then why are we wasting time to help test, if ccp is just going to ignore the feedback and release crap?

I like the change.. that invalidates your argument that EVERYONE hates it and that there is NO good.. clearly there are people that like it.. And I didn't say EVERYONE that hates the change simply hates change.. I just said a lot of them do.. Lot of people raging who have barely used it, or just heard about it but haven't even tested it themselves.. and a lot who just hate it cause it's not what they are used too..
It's not gonna get rolled back. Accept it. They didn't remove the CQ either, and there was much more rage over that than there is over this.
OS is something people use all the time.. It's a valid point to take elements from an OS for any other User Interface.. There's a reason they exist.
And yes, Eve in many cases operates like an OS.. it has a "taskbar" with active programs/apps and others that can be launched.. A "start menu" to select other ones not important enough to be on the taskbar.. A manager for moving "items" [ read files ] around. Hell it even has other apps like a browser, calculator, etc..
It's really a lot like an OS..
As I said, most people talking about it with regards to Sisi just btiched, didn't bring up any specific complains, didn't test.. And other complaints were ignored.. 1 person saying this doesn't work right isn't gonna make them change everything.. If everyone bitching about it on Sisi would have actually been constructive, I bet 90% of the problems WOULD be ironed out by now..
And regardless.. Eve is always a WiP, even the main server.. it's always being changed and adapting, and it's always getting people to test.. They didn't get much from putting it on Sisi, so it went live.. now they are getting loads of people with actual constructive changes posting, and lots of actual feedback.. above and beyond "RAGE RAGE I'll Quit Eve..."
So to sum up. It's not getting reverted, deal with it. Post constructive improvements for the system other than "revert it" and you might see improvements.. otherwise just go on a hunger strike.. |

I will not play ' eVe-The online OS game', I will instead play a 'Game' and use my 'OS' to manage my files. A pre-'Vanilla Ice Expansion' roll-back would be the cleanest, quickest way to fix it... Otherwise ur just trying to polish a big Turd |

Your logical fallacy is...
If may form my own opinion (  ), thanks CPP for working to improve the game. The inventory system, while having a good general idea, has introduced quite a few inconveniences.
Please fix those and maybe provide a few toggles for the list of new features. For example, the market price lookup, since sometimes I'd prefer speed to knowing the value of my junk. |
