The 5 extra reserve teams went onto the reserve list, and there were spots available.
So one of those spots was taken by you, you go in to replace LEM in the tournament roster and you fight against their opponent.
The schedule webpage will be updated today with the pairing changes.
Heh, i thought this was straightforward, but now it's confusing. Are you aware that QwaarJet is in The Fourth District and not MM? If not, it makes sense.
Fourth are already playing Havoc (and before anyone else says anything, we know Havoc dropped out and were replaced by Atlas).
Morsus Mihi directly replace LEM, and will play Night's Dawn right?
And now, i need to lie down...

General Tso's Alliance is still listed, rather than Ivy League.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about
Calmdown, next time please don't completely change the rules 3 days before the tournament. We have almost no time to prep because we were lead to believe that if you weren't on the reserve list, there was no chance of being in the tournament.
We're really happy to be in, but would have preferred it to be under better circumstances.

I wouldn't worry too much, you have an excuse should it go badly
I look forward to commenting your matches

Yeah it was a THD. We went with the completely wrong setup against you on a whim in our first alliance match ever. But we've always been good friends (in tourney-stuff, we shoot each other in normal circumstances) since that and Qwaar joing us for a bit shouldn't be that surprising for anyone on the "inside".
Too bad he went back to MM but we hope for the best for our tourney-brosefs and hope we don't meet each other until the final. Admiral Ladel Teravada Admiral, Fleet Operations

If Ivy League win their match it has to be a bigger blow for whoever's facing them.
I know who I'll be supporting, purely for the very probable tears after.

So you complain about not getting in, despite having equal chance to everyone else (because you felt entitled), then you join Forth District and leave your alliance, then MM gets in, then you leave Forth District and whine some more? FFS, just when I thought MM can't embarass themselves any more.

To explain what has happened with Agony; due to problems with the Eve website as a whole across the time when the signup procedure was running, there were a number of teams for which we received entry fees but no signup. We entered these teams into the draw anyway as we knew there had been an issue, and in most cases I had been in contact with these teams via evemail. This is what has resulted in the 'we need a team captain for the following teams' thread in some cases. Due to trying to sort all of this out at the time and it being a bit hectic on draw day, I accidentally ended up with Agony Empire 'in the hat' rather than in the seeded teams, and they were not drawn. I didn't notice this and no-one fron Agony mentioned it to me, but then I noticed a post on this forum about them applying but not getting in, so I contacted Agony leadership to rectify the mistake. The easiest and fairest way to do this was to put them at the top of the reserve list, and they are now in the tournament as they should have been from the start.
Why are we not in the list? our team leader relied to your eve-mail about us getting a spot

There wasn't. But rather than leave empty spaces, a minor alteration was in order. I'm sure everyone will agree that letting people in late is better than ahving empty slots.
Please feel free to withdraw your application if you wish, there are plenty of other teams that would jump at the chance to compete.

It is likely that the people on the reserve list didn't respond in a timely manner when asked if they were able to field a team at short notice.

Caving to the whiners from last time that didn't like the competitive first come/first serve sign-up process last year sure produced a better process this year.
Didn't MM whine last time too?
I saw a post that compared tourney stats from last time to this time by Mindstar.
How about one comparing drop-outs from last time to this time?
Also wouldn't mind a transparent explanation about how the reserve list and secondary reserve list worked this time that left us twisting in the wind until the last minute.
Don't get me wrong though. I appreciate the hard work that CCP, Claw in particular and others put into this.
Just discouraged that intelligent people at CCP couldn't or refused to foresee that moving from a competitive sign-up to a lottery style sign-up wouldn't produce these kinds of things (scams with slots for sale, multiple alt alliances, multiple drop-outs).

In reply to this particular statement I want to throw this out there.
How do competitive first come first served signups stop people speculating and applying as soon as the signups are opened?
It seems to me that it makes speculating no more difficult. Instead of two weeks of signups followed by a random draw you end up with 5mins of alt alliances spamming signups, some of who will get in before other teams.
Net result is the same.
