I just got my hands on an MSI 790fx-gd70 motherboard. I just got my face palm'd by a small detail I missed. This board is set to support RAM at 1.5 volts.
The ram I purchased was an OCZ reaper OCZ3RPR13332GK, the ram runs at 1.75 volts.
Im not experienced with overclocking or adjusting specific settings in the bios, but i was wondering if I could bump the motherboard's memory voltage up to 1.8 and run these sticks. I'd want to do that and probably bump the timing to 7 instead of 6 for stability sake. But how can I be sure I can do this and be stable? Any ideas? Btw I will be using a couple of "maintenence" sticks to at least get the motherboard to post . But I just wanted to be sure it was ok to do before attemting.

I dont get how random access memory has anything to do with a license of any kind. Could someone please just help or offer advice for my situation?
