These modules are shrouded in mystery. Their effects don't show up when you do a "show info" on a drone, although all other effects from my ship do show up. (HP Bonus, damage bonus, etc.) Their description is "Improves the optimal range and tracking of all drones." Very concise and to the point. What's unanswered, however, is there a stacking penalty? According to my admittedly bad math:
Warden - 60km optimal with a 30km falloff. 2 Omnis should give this a range of 86.4 with a 30km falloff. Not bad for a sniper ship.
Garde - 24km optimal with a 12km falloff 2 Omnis should yield 34.56 optimal. 4 omnis should yield nearly 50km plus falloff. With the amount of damage these do, that's pretty awesome.
However, when I use the links as above, I don't seem to get the results I should. In fact, there seems to be virtually no benefit to using them.
Are they broken? Are they nerfed? Do they stack badly? Can anybody answer these questions with any authority? I'd love to pimp out my drone boat, but I already wasted a bunch of ISK pimping out a domi that frankly kinda sucks.
Thanks in advance for anything anybody knows about these mods.

My domi uses 3 of them, and my garde II's melt things out to about 55km

Edited by: Cmd BenJames on 31/07/2009 19:13:32 You can use EFT to find out the exact values that you do get from these modules, fit them to any ship and put the drones in the bay, right click and select info and read down the list to find optimal and tracking and watch them change.
They most likely have a stacking penalty like everything else otherwise you would have wardens at crazy ranges

At all skills at 5, rumbers rounded; These numbers are purely optimal+falloff Bouncer II: 0 omni: 60+42 1 omni: 72+42 2 omni: 84+42 3 omni: 94+42
Curator II: 0 omni: 52.5+24 1 omni: 63+24 2 omni: 74+24 3 omni: 82+24
Garde II: 0 omni: 30+12 1 omni: 36+12 2 omni: 42+12 3 omni: 47+12
Warden II: 0 omni: 75+30 1 omni: 90+30 2 omni: 105+30 3 omni: 117+30

Also a single omni on a drone ship will make your hammerheads shine. Seems that extra bit of tracking really ups the amount of quality hits.
