A question I would like you to answer ....
Why is this price too high?
What is a "fair" price and why.
Here is my reasons for the reasonable price of 30Bil
The NPC cost of BP is 18Bil
The item needs to be researched which means a copyslot (normally in a POS as the public slots are CONSTANTLY full), that requires a POS which needs to be fueled and a Lab needs to be bought
There must be a character trained to take the research higher
For this BPO, that requires 252 days of care and POS maintenance
All this adds up to approxiamately 29bil ISK as the cost of giving you the possibility of offering me 13Bil ISK...
SO what could be the downside of me accepting 13-15Bil ISK
In RL, for a business to succeed, a profit is a necessity. Confectionary shops average 400% profit margin, switch and router resellers realise around 25%.
If there is no profit, the business will not continue in the ability to provide a product/service. Long term, you will be affected by having to pay alot more for something half as good.
Eve is mirrored on RL in this aspect.
That's the reason why 30Bil IS a reasonable price.

I agree with some of ur comments Sisco - but in an evolving gameplay, where Dreads are the new battleships, motherships must become the new Dread.
And yes - 13bil IS way below its worth

yeah ok 13 bil was a bit of a joke, but it was a start bid, i did expect to get outbid and bid again
as Klandi knows i have increased my bid ingame
any mothership bpo i've seen sold on here has sold below npc price, and as for 30 bil. Supercap bpo's just don't sell for more than npc price period
i stand by my ingame offer of 16 bil, which is more than some other nyx bpo's have sold for recently

Because of what is most likely the same reason you are selling the BPO - it is not very profitable any more.
There is a lot of demand for Nyx, but there is an awful lot more supply. Everyone and their dog got into the market when they could sell a 18Bn ship for 30Bn, now so many people are there, they are selling 18Bn ships for 18Bn - the margins just don't justify it any more.
Even the BPC's sell for what is a relative next to nothing which makes it a waste of time to even bother copying them any more.
You may see it as the research is adding value, but in a sachurated market it's not econimically viable to pay more than you can recover.

Thanks for your bump m8 - but the reason I(we) am selling this BPO is simply that our plans have changed.
We were going out and setup a cap building facility in 0.0 (cos that's what is required for the motherships) but thru the pressure of RL and movement of ppl within the corp - that option is no longer viable.
It is true that supply outstrips demand at this moment - and I know it will change (as it normally does in Eve) so I suppose I am seeking a rich person with foresight and a 0.0 reliable presence to snap up this great offer.
Sadly ....
I have been instructed to accept 20bln although I would have held out for alot more - so the first person that meets that requirement will get an evemail telling them which hi-sec station to accept and pick up the BP.

So its a bit less than a years worth of research. Good job, but thats not really worth 2 bil.
Running a small pos to run a lab costs roughly 1 bil/year, and thats overpricing it, so what you saying is your effort is worth double what you paid for the service and patience? And that assuming the pos was doing absolutly nothing but researching your bpo.

I can not agree with you on this case as I am running POS and research business.
100Mln for Small Control Tower + 100Mln for Small Lab + 48Mln for fuell per month makes less than 800Mln annual for maintenance. But you will use only one ME slot. So, you still have 2 ME, 3 PE, 5 invention and 1 Copy slot to use for other purposes or for rent - and it could give you about 1+ bln annual profit.
So, normal (proper, right, good, enough etc) price for your BPO should be NPC price +5% maximum. Just my personal opinion...

all of you trollers need to be kicked the f out of this thread. this seller is trying to sell this bpo which they have researched themselves, or have bought from someone else who has. they are offering this bpo for a reasonable price, for TWO things.
#1-they are charging the fuel cost to research it
#2-they are charging the time/effort of getting it researched and selling it.
20bil is NOT bad, and who gives a flying you know what if they are making more than what YOU would charge.
Klandi; if this was my thread i'd report every noob/whiner/troller who has a problem with your price. don't worry, it will sell.

I did not make my suggestion to make you angry - just to describe, that 29bln is unreasonable high price (and I am sure that you agree with me).
What about current bid - unfortunatelly I spend almost all my ISK to purchase set of cap component BPOs and I have not 19.1bln right now to make next bid.
So, just a free bump ;-)
