Returning player after a years absence, been on for 2 days and thought I would get back into wormholes...but, I cant seem to pinpoint a sig anymore! Whats changed?
I can't seem to get any hit below 8AU size probes, tried all the usual formations up to 8. Also noticed the sig strenght wont go above 24.5%. The initial hit is 1.85%.
I'm using a covert ops, 2 grav rigs, normal core probes and expanded launcher.
Skills:
Astro 5
Pinpointing 4
rangefinding 4
Aquisition 3

Check you Filtaz!!!one!
Check your filters in the probing window. If you for instance ignore gravitometric sites, once you hit 25 %, it will be filtered out (because at 25 % the type can be identified) ... and the sig will 'vanish'.
CCP made the default settings so stupid, that people get confused when their signatures disappear. |

Also CCP simplified the triangulation algorithm so that dropping more probes will increase the signal strength. Thats worth keeping in mind. |

I don't know how it'd be possible to not find wormholes because they seem to comprise 90% of what I find. |

Because CCP added more filters, meaning some people using a Cosmic Sigs Only style filter would not see the result after it was identified as a Radar Mag etc. due to the filter not having radar mag etc ticked.
this was due to the winter update IIRC and as he has not been online in sometime he most likely had the issue above. |

when this went through it disabled all of my filters. EVERYTHING vanished at 25%. took awhile to sort it out, too... |
