While manually warp jumping from gate to gate in high sec (circa 0.7) Caldari space with my loaded Industrial: I was cargo scanned by a scout ship first (a jump or two before) then I was blown up by a Brutix and my cargo was taken. I was too busy trying to avoid being podded (and suffering from shock) to see what the Concord response was. The pilot that destroyed my ship works for a company that specializes in hijacking Industrials for profit--so take precautions folks. |

Industrials are incredibly fragile, and aren't suitable for transporting high value goods. The badger mk 2 can equip a tank that *might* resist a suicide gank by a weaker enemy geared up for attacking indy equipped with only cargo expanders and an afterburner.
But really you need to train up your industrial ship skill to lvl 5 to get access to the transport ships. Get a deep space transport fit it for tank not cargo space, or use the cloaky blockade runner if you are carrying valuable cargo. It won't make you completely untouchable, but will make it so much harder for them to gank you.

You've been playing for almost a year. Well, congrats on your first visit to the forums :)
Might I suggest that, instead of visiting the forums to post 'warnings' after getting ganked, that you take some time to read up and learn about suicide ganking and other hazards, so that you can avoid them in future?

Here is a general rule of thumb to follow if you are looking for the limits you need to exceed to get yourself blown up.
Industrial - 200m isk is fairly safe, 350m is about where it becomes possible. Freighter - 1.5b afk, 2.5b and you are getting close Cloaked Transport - Blockade runner (viator or something like that) 1b flying cloaked gate to gate cloaked and you generally can't be caught, I generally avoid using the deep space transport unless I am bulk hauling but with that you can haul maybe 350m as a minimum needed to get you killed. Orca - Store in the corp hangar and cannot be scanned and all gear is destroyed when the ship is popped, although I have not tried blowing it up. In the other hangars you can carry about 750m, about half a freighter, before its economical to kill you.
When people destroy your ship half your stuff is blown up. Make sure its economical to do that. Some people will blow you up for no reason at all.
The most likely attack spots are Sivala/Eudama area, Hek gank corridor, Jita area. In .5 and .6 systems Concord takes longer to arrive. These are the best places to go to get killed.

How did you have your ship fitted?
My Badger II is a buffer shield tank. ~12,000 effective hit points. No tech 2, no rigs, nothing special on it, really. But it's a lot more of a gamble to try and pop my ship than to pop someone's naked Industrial that they didn't tank out because they thought they were safe. Doesn't cost much to put on some extenders, hardeners and an armor plate.

as soon as you are scanned you should assume a gank is inbound dock up and find something to do for a while.

Ive actually pimped out my industrial to the point of it being impossible to destroy by destroyers or frigates. Cruisers would probubly take me down but they would have a hell of a time trying to

a couple of things - 1. tank your hauler 2. dont ap? 3. beware of the following systems (this has been happening there for ages) a. niarja b. kaaputenen c. madermillere d. sivala e. uedama f. balle and synchelle i believe to and also seen them in deltole
