Actually playing the game and chatting/posting on forums are 2 different things. I can see why some of you are so confused 
I don't generally solo (read: Caldari) but i think its a great idea to have a dedicated chat channel for like minded people.

I play solo most of the time, but that does not mean that I want to be alone in the game. I want to be totally independent and still be able to talk and interact with people.
I want to enjoy the game when it suits me, not only when 15 others can be bothered to tag along. So the channel is a very good idea, indeed!
And yes, I'm an egoistic fool for wanting to play solo. But since I pay for my own game time I also want to spend it as I see fit, not as a feudal corporation leader tells me to. I get enough of that at work!

People solo not because they are anti social
But because they actually want a challenge, they're not afraid to fight outnumbered, 90% of the time you will be outnumbered/outgunned, which makes it fun as hell, you actually get adrenaline rushes in some fights
Any one can align to a celestial and shoot the primary, being a 0.0 solo pvper is by far the hardest profession in eve right now, there are so many tactics behind how to split up gangs among other things, if you can do it and have the balls to do it, it's a good sign that you're not terrible at this game
But 95% of eve has no idea how to do it succesfully, if you don't know how, it's a good sign that you suck at this game
Also, some kills/engagements gives you massive bragging rights like this, although it wasn't completley solo I confess since I was dual boxing

I just like to say thx for those who get the idea. Being solo i am not anti-social i talk to my corp and others i meet daily. Even after fights i talk to my opponents and sometimes make friends that way even if they are red to my corp. The whole point of the channel meant for soloers to come chat and spread ideas.
Even anyone wanting to try soloing is welcoming and i give my advice and i'm sure others would put there input in as well. To the minor threat guy that says i use a falcon alt thats news to me. I have never used a alt in my solo fights. I want to go it alone not have assistance even from a alt.
Yes i also agree soloing in 0.0 is the hardest and takes patience cause you do lose alot ships but you also get some really good kills/fights. Yes i love the challenge that i am all alone and going after usually bigger ships then myself its definitely a adrenaline rush esp when its close. I could care less how many ships i lose and when its close and i lose i give props and am happy with outcome. See ya guys and be safe peace

Soloers in a group = Divide by ZERO!!!!
My question... do you count as a soloer if it is you and your 3 alts all multi-boxing???

i just stated in the pervious post that i do not use alts in my fights i fight purely solo. The name of the channel is soloers.See ya guys and be safe

yeah cause flying frigate in blob shows your true skills :S you can get on 10 bs killmails and loose 50 rifter and still have good efficiency :S
