ok, i was under the impression tha you could suspend a subscription, but keep your payed time, allowing you to carry on after whatever issues tore you away were resolved with no loss of eve-time.
for example, if i bought a 3month subscription on 1st january, played for 1 month, then had to go away, it would save 2 months credit, and if i came back 3 months later, would still have 2 months.
but, having looked at the stuff in the account manager, it looks like it just stops auto-debits or something at the end of your current subscription.
i bought a 6 month, which should run out in january next year, and i want time off without loss of time. have i just wasted 3 months eve-time, or have i misread the details? plz help :(

Someone will tell you the real answer and if you get ticked off by it, can I have your stuff, I'm different then the other askers, if you should return and ask for your stuff back I will consider returning it to you.
Stop griping about server instability and go buy an EVE mug!
Additionally with the purchase of each mug you will receive two(2) invisible Elves.

and if so, im sorry,b ut i already got someone who wud b happy to look after the account. i just prefer to know i dint waste 6 months worth on me not playing :(

If nothing has changed in past few months it works like this:
When you pay for 6 months subscription you pay WHOLE amount at the beginning of the subscription period. So you pay for whole six months at the bedinning of month one.
When you cancel your subscription you can still play EVE until your subscription time ends (6 months time in your case). It doesnt make a pause in your subscription time jus cancels next billing.
Now if its possible to make another kind of break I dunno. Try with "other" petition

dammit, all i want is to pause my game time. but, ur right, mebbe a petition will help.
i dont c how the suspend thing will work for anyone except DirectDebiters :(

When you cancel your subscription you can play until the subscription period you paid for expires. In your case it means that you will be able to access your account for the time you have left of those 3 months, no time will be saved for later use.
