I'd rather not mine, and I find missions (Currently can only do Level 2's) to be very boring. So how does one make money in between combat ops? ___________________ Show me how it ends |

Personally, I made a whole load of money trading and now don't need to earn more.
However, I do the occasional exploration site or wormhole with a few friends. They earn enough that way to be constantly losing T1 ships so I guess it's profitable enough. --------------------------------------

In fact you can make some isk in fw too.
It is not fastest way to make isk but you do not need much skills for that.
1st you do some plexing and get standing for militia and for your faction, at the same time you can raise you skills so that you can make fw missions. FW missions can be hard to solo for new player, but small gang can do those quite fast with frigates/cruisers.
It takes about 1-2 weeks to raise standing for lvl4 fw missions.
There is pirates and enemy militia around there so some pvp may be involved in fw missions.
And if your faction standing raises enough, you can have lvl4 missions from regular agents too.

Alts tbh. Can still crank out decent isk with one char if youre willing to move about a bit.
Some people have chars stashed in 0.0 for ninja ratting. Others run Lvl 4s. This opens up R&D for about 75m/month passive income. Just gotta train the skills. Couple of corpies run plex, as in deadspace, and make good isk. Then theres lower tier w-space. And of course trade, production and invention. Heck, overview glitch even had a moon mining operation going on for a while. Plexing, fw plexes, drop tags which are better than nothing even.
I suck at making isk and I have no problem making ends meet. Don't fly what you cant afford to lose and abuse insurance if you can. Honestly the richest people I've ever met in eve all have one thing in common. Theyre all very succsessful in the marketplace, be it reselling, scamming or producing.
I myself run a few missions on a alt, ninja rat my sec back up occasionally and camp contracts.

Dude, wtf. They don't need to know that FW is being run by alts of pirates and their just KB fodder. You just don't say stuff like that !!! --- I smack just for myself.

While this does work, building an alt specifically for this is now less profitable than mission or mining up the isk and then investing it, imo.
If you already have the standings from FW no reason not to though,

Edited by: Therran Promitz on 04/08/2009 03:19:59 I can't fly BSs for Lvl 4's, I have 2m SP.
I'm seriosuly considering buying a GTC and selling it for ISK.
I guess I'll stick to ratting and Level 2's for now ___________________ Show me how it ends |

K, at 2 mil sp you might want to try belt ratting in a QUIET low sec system. Look for a .1 sec status system with no station. The more remote the better. Blood Raiders, Sanshas and Angels will prove to be the most profitable due to salvage.

Pvp only costs isk, unless you kill something juicy. So just like everyone else you do to do mining / missions / trading etc. to make isk :).

In WOLFY we do corporate mining ops to raise isk to fund our PVP.
We find that 2 ops a week of 2-3 hours duration each , is enough to fund all our losses ( although I hear tropic sneaked in a couple of extra mining sessions ).
Twice a week we jump in our rorquals and hulks and improve our kill ratios on the asteroids of Tama.
It really is lucrative mining the roids, ( and truly a bonding experience that brings WOLFY pilots closer together, contributing and improving our ability to fight as a close knit group in PVP ).
Fortunately we are never disturbed during our mining ops, ( I put this down to our enemies , on jumping into Tama and seeing 40+ WOLFY in system , tend to leave as fast as possible ( our mining ops have higher attendance then our pvp ops usually))
The witty banter on teamspeak is amazing, if it appears that boredom may be setting in, there is always someone who steps up and starts a sing song to revive flagging interests. Corp favourites are Kumbaya and camp fires burning.
Its not all sunshine and flowers tho , we have occasional shouting matches when eddie tries to steal my roids. New recruits soon learn not to give tropic advice on the best temprature for his mining lasers, or how to fit his hulk.
Raimo always wants to be seen as an indivudual ( if corp is using hulks he insists on bringing a battleship ). Loren disappears for 5 minutes , the when he returns we see 20 roids killed on our roidboard. Wizardus has lots of problems controlling his mining drones.
If anyone starts mining some virgin roids before the order is given , teampspeak is filled with the celtic tones of Evil saying GAIS GAIS GAIS....
But it is very lucrative and jolly good fun, I heartily reccomend other FW corps give it a go. |

Ah, what I mean is getting the standings + ~2mil of skills takes enough training time and standings grind to not be worth it vis-a-vis just running normal missions or ratting and then investing the proceeds.
If you already have the standings, its still worth it and does cost nothing but the skills. Guess this is what you meant, sorry for the confusion.

this funnier when they think warping out will draw aggo to your frig. t1 with 10mn ab can tank better than a bs providing you don't get webbeb. if so and you blow up, big deal it's a t1 frig.
