Current Situation: When right-clicking on modules in your hangar, "Trash It" is right above "Fit to Active Ship."
When right-clicking on an assembled ship in your hangar, "Trash It" is right above to "Make Active."
Proposed Solution: Separate the above options further in the right-click UI.
Pros: Reduce people accidently trashing their ships and modules because they turned off the popup to confirm trashing things.
Cons: It won't idiot-proof the UI but it will cut down on accidents.

Yes, but this is a much more specific proposal versus overhauling the whole menu.

The answer is going to be the exact same.

Aren't you just a font of unhelpful information.

So you knew it was raised?
Then you'd know this:
Quote: (4) - The UI team had numerous meetings on this. They have not come up with a good scheme yet. They are afraid of an incremental approach to fix all the menus, people would be confused with menus changing with every patch.
I might add that it's a fairly complex piece of code which CCP is afraid of touching. It's going to be a complete overhaul of the context menu if anything.

Lavista is right, we don't need this again.
Issue
Resolution:
(4) - The UI team had numerous meetings on this. They have not come up with a good scheme yet. They are afraid of an incremental approach to fix all the menus, people would be confused with menus changing with every patch. Issler noted that the whole UI requires a complete revamp, CCP should make sure that the solution to this problem should be part of the revamp. TL;DR CCP agreed that some of the context menu layout is unintuitive and is working on this as part of UI revisions. No timeframe specified. ---

You actually use "Fit to active ship"?
I never use that : O P
Thus never had the problem of dealing with the trash it command.
Maybe you should stick to just dragging and dropping to the fitting service window like most people I know. ========================= CEO of Shadow Cadre http://www.shadowcadre.com ========================= |

I confirm that this particular strawman argument will totally blindside people from the more relevant second issue of it being next to "make active", and the reflexive action of clicking OK as you assume that the confirmation window is actually the "you can't do that yet as your session change hasn't finished".
CSM from the past should realise that CCP saying "yea we know" isn't enough to make issues go away. Unfortunately, it seems to have been enough in the past to make the CSM's go away.

We should also formulate a type of educational facility for people who cannot read the in game messaging systems... right?
