You read that correctly. Not just dislikes me because of my odious habits, or because of unpaid interstellar phone bills, he hates me. Now, the example:
Say you are on an Agent mission, and you have to go through some jumps in .4 space. Should you quit the mission every time it goes through unsafe space? Some agents don't know if they are sending you into a potentially unavoidable death. (Gate camps, etc...) My agent was well aware I am sure, and was paid off by a pirate who was waiting to end my clones pathetic nOOb life. I was podded on said mission. I was new, not equipped to fight back, and very discouraged. So for all of you who say 'stay in safe space or deal with it', what if that was the hand dealt to you by an agent?
My ship, my implants, modules, all lost to someone who already had a negative 10 sec rating. So other than the ultimate satisfaction of podding a new player, what was the point? (He did get the coveted Civilian Shield booster, tho.)
I still haven't received the check to reimburse my crippling losses, but my agent has assured me the ISK is in the mail... Donations welcome so I can afford cheese with my whine.

You can set your autopilot to only go through 0.5 and above. Will probably make you do a few more jumps but you'll remain in "safe" space

Try running agents from nourvukaiken, there are all levels of agent around there and you wont be sent into low sec space.

Agents are set up so that they won't send you into space vastly different from the security level of the system they are based in. Pick an agent in 0.7 or higher and you'll be fine.

not true, i get quite alot missions, that send me in and thru 0.1 space although these agents (L3) are located in 0.5. not that i care about it, but when i was a nOOb, i would have been quite disappointed, when i would have been ganked by some 1337 pirate-scum camping a gate or station, i need to get thru or in. |

That only applies to the destination, and doesn't take the route there in account.

Yeah, well, dunno, but if anyone here does their missions in Nonni... They'll send you to Aunenen sometimes, where certain corps camp the gate and just tank the sentries while blasting indies/frigates/cruisers. All part of the game though, I wouldn't complain about it. ---
Dutch semi-carebear all-round character with lvl5 bad luck. |

set up your autopilot to fly only on .5 and above and no matter what mission you get, you'll never have to go below .5 It can give you some extra jumps but anyone who has an agent in 0. or above shouldn't whine about having to go through .4 or below systems as it only means they don't know how to set up their autopilot correctly...

Thank you, Feurian. I appreciate your recognising how frustrating it can be to be a new player. People who laugh at a 20mil loss forget their first month playing this game. People like you remind me of the greater good out there in RL and in games.
