If you do the thing with smartbombs
you need to give away ships
then say you're giving away your CNR or normal raven or something. Then fill the highs with bombs and everybody will be waiting in their pods to try and be the first one in it
then you squish them all!

Have some real fun. Spend it on ships you can fly and the self destruct each one outside your station... I've done it on ocassion and it feels great...

have a noob ship battle royale last man standing.
Rules are as follows:-
1. Must be in a noob ship.
2. Noobship can be fitted only with t1 modules to ensure everyone has a reasonable chance.
2. Have a GM monitor the battle to ensure no cheating.
3. Battle MUST take place in a low sec system. (yeah even ye care bears should get into low sec)
1st prize could be the character + 1bil isk worth of assets
2nd prize could be 500 mil worth of assets
3rd prize could be 250 mil worth of assets
4th prize could be 125 mil worth of assets
5th prize could be 75 mil worth of assets
6th prize will be the remaining 25 mil worth of assets.

Thanks for the many good ideas. I particularly like the treasure hunt, or setting up interesting contracts. I hope I will get some time for it soon.
Also I will probably keep the character, I agree that it's not very nice to give the "identity" away, and I never really liked the meta-game of trading characters. It would be nice to use up that value before I cancel, but in the end it doesn't really matter.

I say give it to EVE University. i don't know why you consider that boring, or how you come to the conclusion it will not go to someone who needs it.
Give it to EU and if you think you have to, specify that there be some sort of contest that can only be done by characters that are X amount of days/months old and the winner gets the spoils.
EU has stuff like that all the time internally. It'd be nice if they had an outsider donate to help a noob.
